This is the standard rub used in a restaurant located in Buffalo Gap, Texas. Makes ½ cup. Will cover 4-10 steaks, depending on size and flavor preference.

Steps:
- Blend all dry ingredients together and rub into both sides of at least 4 t-bone steaks.
- Heat 1 tablespoon canola oil in large skillet at fairly high heat.
- Cook steaks for 5 minutes; turn, drop heat to medium and continue cooking for approximately 10 minutes for medium-rare, depending on the thickness of your steaks.

SAVORY GRILLED T-BONES
While looking through my newest Simple and Delicious Magazine, I found like yummy sounding recipe for T-Bone Steaks!! It is made with ingredients I always have on hand and it is a short marinating time!! Preparation time doesn't include marinating time.

Steps:
- In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the first 11 ingredients; add steaks. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 2-4 hours.
- Drain and discard marinade. Grill steaks, covered, over medium heat for 6-10 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a meat thermometer should read 145°; medium, 160°; well-done, 170°).

Steps:
- Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.
- Add sugar and set aside for 10 minutes.
- Pour yeast mixture in large bowl or food processor, add remaining warm water, and salt--mix well.
- Gradually add flour while stirring constantly.
- After flour has been added, knead by hand, adding more of the flour if needed until the dough is not sticky.
- Pour oil in a large bowl and place dough in bowl.
- Cover with a clean damp towel and let rise 4 hours in warm, dark place without moving.
- Punch air out while dough is in the bowl.
- Flip dough over and return to bowl.
- Cover with new damp towel and allow to rise until double.
- Place cookie sheet in center of oven and preheat to 500°F.
- Divide dough into 11 parts, each piece about 5 inches in diameter.
- Dust a tray with corn meal and place loaves on tray.
- With damp hands, press fingertips into each loaf, then sprinkle tops with sesame seeds.
- Put loaves on the cookie sheet, corn meal side down, and bake sesame side up for 8 minutes in oven.
- Turn bread over and bake corn meal side up for 4 minutes in closed oven.
- Remove loaves from oven.
- Cover with clean towel, serve hot or wrap in foil and freeze (toast before serving.).

GARLIC -PEPPER T- BONE STEAKS
This is the best recipe for the grill and t-bones. My husband loves them and asks for them all the time. The key to a good steak is bringing it to room temp. before you cook it. The garlic and pepper go hand in hand.

- bring the t-bones to room temp.
- mince the garlic and apply liberally to each side of the steak.
- next with your pepper mill add the fresh ground pepper until the steak is covered on both sides, again apply liberally.
- the best cooking method is the grill but you can also broil them.
FREEZER DILL PICKLES
Freezer Dill Pickles 1 pound cucumbers, sliced 1/8" thick 3/4 pound yellow onions, sliced 1/8" thick 4 tablespoons salt 2 tablespoons water 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup cider vinegar 1 tablespoon dried dill weed Mix cucumbers, onions, salt and water in a 2 quart non-metal bowl. Let stand 2 hours. Drain after stand time but do not rinse. Return vegetables to bowl and add sugar, cider vinegar and dill weed. Stir occasionally until sugar completely dissolves and liquid covers vegetables. Pack wide mouth jars or plastic freezer containers leaving 1 inch head space. Seal tightly and freeze. BROILED GARLIC AND PEPPER T-BONE, ALA ELSWET

- Oil both steaks well and place into lined broiling pan. Do NOT use rack, or the meat will be dry! Pour remaining oil over steaks and turn steaks over and over to thickly coat.
- Halve salt, tenderizer, and pepper equally; sprinkle both steaks, both sides. Halve sliced garlic cloves and place on both sides of both steaks.
- Let steaks marinate a minimum of 4 hours [overnight is highly preferred]. Turn steaks over to saturate other side, half way through marination time, if possible, replacing errant garlic slices.
- Preheat oven to broil, and broil steaks in broiling pan 4 minutes on top side, flip, and 3 minutes on other side for medium.
- 3 minutes on top side, flip, and 2 minutes on bottom for medium-rare.
- 5 minutes on top side, flip, and 4 minutes on bottom for well.
