Italian Breaded Pork Chops image

A seasoned crumb coating sets these skillet chops apart from the rest. Pinched for time? They cook in 10 minutes or less.

4 boneless pork loin chops (1 lb)
1/4 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 to 3 tablespoons milk
1/2 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
Shredded or shaved Parmesan cheese, if desired

Steps:

  • Between pieces of plastic wrap or waxed paper, place each pork chop; gently pound with flat side of meat mallet or rolling pin until about 1/4 inch thick.
  • In shallow bowl, mix flour, seasoned salt and garlic powder. Place milk and bread crumbs in separate shallow bowls. Dip each pork chop in flour mixture, then dip in milk. Coat well with bread crumbs.
  • In 12-inch skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Cook pork in oil 6 to 8 minutes, turning once, until browned on outside and slightly pink in center. Sprinkle with cheese.

  • Directions Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (160 degrees C). In a small bowl, beat together the eggs and milk. In a separate small bowl, mix the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, and parsley. Heat the olive oil in a large, oven-proof skillet over medium heat. Stir in the garlic, and cook until lightly browned. Remove garlic, reserving for other uses. Dip each pork chop into the egg mixture, then into the bread crumb mixture, coating evenly. Place coated pork chops in the skillet, and brown abut 5 minutes on each side. Place the skillet and pork chops in the preheated oven, and cook 25 minutes, or to an internal temperature of 145 degrees F (63 degrees C). Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (160 degrees C). 1/2 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
1/3 cup Italian dressing
1/2 cup Progresso™ garlic herb bread crumbs
4 pork boneless loin chops, 1/2 inch thick (1 1/2 pounds)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Place Bisquick mix, dressing and bread crumbs in separate shallow bowls. Coat pork chops with Bisquick mix. Dip coated pork chops into dressing, then coat with bread crumbs.
  • Heat oil in 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook pork in oil about 5 minutes or until golden brown; reduce heat to low. Carefully turn pork. Cook 10 to 15 minutes longer or until pork is no longer pink in center. Serve immediately.

  • In another bowl, combine bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, and garlic powder.

  • Cover a baking sheet in foil.

My husband frequently requests these over my marinated and grilled pork chops when I give him a choice. If you do not have an oven-proof skillet, you may cook the chops on the stove at medium-low.
