Everyone will love this special bar made with marshmallows, peanuts, chocolate and Land O Lakes® Margarine.

Number Of Ingredients 13

Crust
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup uncooked quick-cooking oats
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Margarine softened
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup chopped salted peanuts
Topping
1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping
1/2 cup chopped salted peanuts
1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
3/4 cup milk chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 8- or 9-inch square baking pan; set aside.
  • Combine all crust ingredients except peanuts in bowl. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in 1/4 cup peanuts. Reserve 3/4 cup crumb mixture.
  • Press remaining crumb mixture onto bottom of prepared baking pan. Bake 15 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
  • Place ice cream topping in bowl. Microwave 1 minute or until warm.
  • Drizzle topping over hot, partially baked crust. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup peanuts, marshmallows and chocolate chips. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture. Continue baking 15-20 minutes or until marshmallows are lightly browned. Cool completely.

These creamy caramels are melt-in-your-mouth perfection! This recipe is an old family favorite!! My mom earned many blue ribbons through through the years at our local county fair!

cooking spray (such as Pam®)
2 cups white sugar
1 ½ cups heavy whipping cream, divided
¾ cup corn syrup
⅓ cup butter
1 teaspoon white vinegar
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped walnuts
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Spray a large loaf pan or 8-inch square baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Stir white sugar, 3/4 cup cream, corn syrup, butter, vinegar, and salt together in a heavy pot; bring to a boil. Stir in remaining cream. Cook, stirring constantly, until caramel is 244 degrees F (117 degrees C), or until a small amount of caramel dropped into cold water forms a firm but pliable ball, 10 to 20 minutes. Remove from heat and cool briefly.
  • Stir walnuts and vanilla extract into caramel; pour caramel into prepared baking dish. Cool completely, at least 1 hour. Turn baking dish over onto a flat work surface to remove cooled caramel from dish; cut caramel into serving pieces.

These absolutely decadent dessert bars are great at any time of the year. Be prepared to listen to ecstatic raving after your guests taste them! Cook time includes chill time.

1 cup flour
3/4 cup oats
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup chopped salted peanuts
1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping
1/2 cup chopped peanuts
1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
1/2 cup chocolate pieces or 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Grease 9-inch square baking pan.
  • Electrically beat all "Crumb" ingredients except nuts.
  • Stir in peanuts.
  • Press 2/3 of the mixture into the baking pan.
  • Bake at 350°F for 12-17 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Spread 1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping over baked crumb mixture.
  • Sprinkle 1/2 cup peanuts, 1.5 cup mini marshmallows, and 1/2 cup chocolate pieces over caramel.
  • Cover with the remaining 1/3 of crumb mixture.
  • Return to oven and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Chill bars in refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
  • Cut into squares and keep refrigerated until served.
