BLENDER BATTER WAFFLES/PANCAKES
I haven't tried this, but I like the sound of it! I got it from the Simple Living message boards, but the poster said they just got it from somewhere on the internet. By the way- the rice, oats, groats, or whatever should be raw.

Steps:
- Blend the buttermilk, egg, vanilla, oil and grain in a blender or food processor for about 5 minutes or until completely blended.
- Fold in the soda, salt, and baking powder.
- Cook on a hot griddle as pancakes or bake in hot waffle iron for about 4 minutes.
- Serve with maple syrup or fruit.
WHOLE WHEAT BLENDER PANCAKES OR WAFFLES
Super quick and easy way to have pancakes or waffles from freshly-ground wheat--without needing a mill! Use white wheat kernels for lightest results.

Steps:
- Blend the water, powdered milk, and wheat kernels (uncooked, unsoaked kernels) in blender on high speed for 4 minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients and mix on medium speed until well incorporated but still slightly lumpy. Add water if you desire more runny batter for pancakes.
- Pour onto sprayed/greased griddle or waffle iron, and cook accordingly.

These are the lightest, and most delicious melt in your mouth pancakes/waffles ever! Serve them with maple syrup or any other topping you enjoy. This is one of my Mom's recipes. She also looked for recipes that were healthy and tasty.

- Put 1 cup milk into blender, add 3/4 cups clean whole wheat kernels.
- Blend for 4 minutes.
- Assemble and add the remaining ingredients, blending a few seconds more.
- Pour on lightly oiled, hot griddle or waffle iron and bake until done.

- Put all the ingredients in the blender and blend on a medium setting for 30 seconds.
- Scrape sides of blender if necessary and blend another 30 seconds.
- When batter is smooth, pour by 1/4 cup measure onto hot griddle or waffle iron.
- Can be stored in refrigerator for 4-5 days.
- Yogurt can be used with or instead of the buttermilk.
