Betty White was a class act, just like her famous chicken wing recipe. A simple combination of soy sauce, brown sugar, and mustard form a delicious marinade for the baked wings.

Ingredients

3 pounds chicken wings
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

Steps:

Remove the tips from the wings. Separate the wings at the joint, if desired. Place the wings in a baking pan. Combine the butter, soy sauce, sugar, water, and mustard in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat and let cool. Pour the sauce mixture over the wings. Cover the pan and refrigerate for 2 hours (or up to 8 hours), turning the wings occasionally to coat in the sauce. When ready to cook the wings, preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Remove the cover and place the pan in the oven and bake at 375 degrees F for 1 1/4 hours or until the wings are cooked through. Turn the wings occasionally while cooking. Remove the wings from the pan and place on a serving tray. Serve hot.

16 chicken wings (about 3 pounds)
3/4 cup honey
1/4 cup white Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

Steps:

Brush grill rack with vegetable oil. Heat coals or gas grill for direct heat.
Cut each chicken wing at joints to make 3 pieces; discard tip. Mix remaining ingredients.
Grill chicken uncovered 4 to 6 inches from medium heat 20 to 25 minutes, brushing frequently with honey mixture and turning after 10 minutes, until juice of chicken is no longer pink when centers of thickest pieces are cut. Discard any remaining honey mixture.
