TERRARIA: 10 BEST WINGS IN THE GAME
From thegamer.com
Author Harry Alston
- 10 Celestial Starboard. The Celestial Starboard is the best Wing accessory in the game. It is only dropped by the Moon Lord in Expert Mode, which also makes it one of the hardest accessories to acquire in Terraria 1.4.
- 10 Stardust Wings. The Stardust Wings have the highest flight height of all Wings in the game, with Solar Wings coming in a very close second. Stardust Wings can reach over 400 feet, whereas Solar Wings offer just a little less at over 300 feet.
- 10 Nebula Mantle. The Nebula Mantle is an endgame set of Wings from the Hardmode pillar events. These wings are crafted with 10 Luminite Bars and 14 Nebula Fragments, gathered by smashing the Nebula Pillar to pieces.
- 10 Fishron Wings. These are another pair of end-game Wings that are pretty rare, only dropped by the Duke Fishron boss in Hardmode. It's worth the wait.
- 10 Vortex Booster. This end-game item is the ultimate version of the Hoverboard we mentioned above. It has the fastest hover speed of any Wings in the game.
- 10 Steampunk Wings. The Steampunk Wings are another tier up from Frozen and Leaf Wings, with increased acceleration speed and height. Just like the Leaf Wings, these wings are easy to acquire just by purchasing them from an NPC, this time the Steampunker.
- 10 The Hoverboard. Although not technically wings, The Hoverboard should still appear on this list because it allows a very unique form of flight. A player can actually hover with the Hoverboard - go figure - which can be very useful for boss fights and building alike.
- 10 Harpy Wings. The Harpy Wings are pretty much exactly the same as the Frozen Wings, but they are also harder to acquire. Venturing into the sky biome in Hardmode is a surefire way to get roasted by some swirling Wyverns, so make sure you are prepared before you start farming Harpies.
- 10 Frozen Wings. The Frozen Wings are basically the go-to next set of Wings for any player in Hardmode. They're almost the same as Leaf Wings, although they have a slightly increased acceleration speed, ideal for boss fights.
- 10 Leaf Wings. Leaf Wings are not the best Wings (and not the worst) but they are the easiest flying accessory to acquire at the beginning of Hardmode.
TERRARIA: THE 10 BEST WINGS IN THE GAME, RANKED
From gamerant.com
- 10 Celestial Starboard - Become A Shooting Star. By far the best wings available in the game, but easily the most difficult to get hold of. Their stats are unparalleled, with the potential to carry players 201 tiles upwards.
- 10 Solar Wings - Probably Quite Hot. The fourth and final set of Lunar Fragment wings, these require destroying arguably the toughest of the Lunar Pillars, the Solar Pillar.
- 10 Stardust Wings - The Flying With The Stars Themselves. The third of the Lunar Fragment wings, this time the recipe calls from Luminite Bars and Stardust Fragments, so players will need to put their Moon Lord slaying shoes back on for this one.
- 10 Fishron Wings - Fish Have Wings? While the community has found plenty of ways to deal with him over the years, Duke Fishron is a notoriously difficult boss.
- 10 Vortex Booster - Jetpack Race. The second of the wings made from Lunar Fragments, the Vortex Booster is functionally identical to the Nebula Mantle.
- 10 Nebula Mantle - Slow & Steady. The first of four wings made from the different types of Lunar Fragments, the Nebula Mantle aren't the most efficient.
- 10 Empress Wings - Ultimate Fairy Wings. A PC & Mobile exclusive boss, The Empress Of Light was added in the 1.4 update to Terraria in 2020. They are an extremely tough boss, as even summoning them can be a pain as a player has to kill a rare Prismatic Lacewing critter at night.
- 10 Betsy's Wings - Literal Dragon Wings. What's cooler than slaying a dragon? Ripping the wings off of said dragon and using them as tools of flight. These wings will propel players a maximum of 119 tiles into the air at a slightly more leisurely pace than most.
- 10 Steampunk Wings - Steam Powered. A somewhat under-used aesthetic in games, Steampunk wings are one of the cooler-looking wing sets out there. Stats-wise, they are equal to the seasonal event wings, as they can carry players a maximum of 107 tiles upward on PC (91 on consoles).
- 10 Spooky Wings - A Bat In The Night. Players who like to swoop undetected through the night sky will be fans of the Spooky Wings, which are all about blending into the dark.
