Steps:
- Combine beef, salt, pepper, and thyme, and place into 5 greased 13 x 9 inch baking pans.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes, stirring once halfway through cooking time.
- Meanwhile, in very large bowl, combine soup, water, onion, parsley, and browning sauce.
- Remove beef from oven, drain any grease, then pour soup over beef and mix well.
- Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours.
- This recipe will serve 75 (serving size is 3/4 cup rice with 3/4 beef with gravy).

BEEF TIPS AND RICE
This recipe produces tender beef tips and a delicious gravy. If you prefer, you can serve the beef tips over mashed potatoes instead of rice.

Steps:
- In a large Dutch oven, heat 2 tablespoons olive oil over medium heat.
- Add onion, bell pepper and garlic.
- Cook for about 5 minutes or until veggies are tender.
- Remove veggies from pan and place on a dinner plate.
- In a bowl, toss together beef tips and 1/3 cup flour.
- Add remaining 3 tablespoons of oil to the Dutch oven.
- Place beef tips in Dutch oven and brown on all sides and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring regularly.
- Add veggies back to the Dutch oven.
- Add 4 cups water, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt and pepper, stirring well.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and cover partially.
- Let simmer for 1 hour.
- In a small bowl, combine 1/3 cup cold water and 3 tablespoons flour, mix well.
- Add flour mixture to the beef tips, cooking for 2-3 minutes or until mixture thickens.
- Serve over hot cooked rice.
- Garnish with parsley.

- Cut the chuck roast into 1" cubes using a very sharp knife. Allow to sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes to remove the chill.
- Pat the cubes dry with a paper towel and transfer to a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of oil, 2 teaspoons Kosher salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, and 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Massage the seasoning into the beef cubes and set aside.
- Add 2 tablespoons of oil to a large pan (equipped with a fitted lid) or a Dutch oven over high heat and allow to come to temperature. Sear the cubes in 2 batches. Sear for 3 minutes on one side, then flip and sear 3 minutes more. Transfer beef cubes to a plate and set aside.
- Add a 1/4 cup of beef broth to the pan to deglaze, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Reduce the heat the medium-high and add the yellow onion. Sauté for about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
