Easy, flavorful tilapia grilled over flames!

⅓ cup olive oil
1 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning, or to taste
1 teaspoon ground cumin, or to taste
1 teaspoon paprika, or to taste
1 teaspoon dried mustard, or to taste
garlic powder, or to taste
4 (4 ounce) fillets tilapia
cooking spray

Steps:

  • Mix olive oil, lemon pepper, cumin, paprika, dried mustard, and garlic powder together in a small bowl. Brush each tilapia fillet with mixture using a pastry brush. Flip; brush the other side. Cover with aluminum foil and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  • Spray a large piece of foil with cooking spray and place on the grill. Transfer tilapia onto the foil.
  • Cook fillets on the preheated grill until they're easily flaked with a fork, about 5 minutes per side. Serve.

This is my favorite way to make tilapia, especially because Costco has such a great deal on their packaged tilapia, (at least here in Arizona.) So this recipe is not only very yummy, it is very inexpensive. In fact, you probably have all of the ingredients in your kitchen. Enjoy!

2 garlic cloves
1/2 cup fresh parsley
1/2 lemon
3/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup red wine (I prefer balsamic) or 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar (I prefer balsamic)
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 dashes Tabasco sauce

Steps:

  • Mince the garlic into fine pieces.
  • Chop up the parsley into small pieces.
  • Place the parsley and garlic into a jar with a tight fitting lid.
  • Squeeze the juice into the jar.
  • Add the olive oil, balsamic, oregano, pepper and Tabasco to the jar.
  • Put the lid on the jar and shake well.
  • Marinade your tilapia fillets for 20-30 minutes.
  • I grill my tilapia for about 5 minutes, each side, but you could bake it for 30 minutes, or cook it in a frying pan, sprayed with Pam, for about 15 minutes on your stove top.

Tilapia fillets, 4-6
Garlic Cloves, 3
Fresh parsley, ½ cup
Lemon, ½
Olive oil, ¾ cup
Red wine or Vinegar, ¼ cup
Dried oregano, 1 tbsp.
Black pepper, ½ tsp.
Tabasco sauce, 2 dashes

Steps:

  • Mince the garlic into fine pieces. Chop the fresh parsley into small pieces. Take a dish with a tight-fitting lid, and place the parsley and garlic into it. Squeeze the lemon juice in the dish; mix well. Then add olive oil, red wine or vinegar, oregano, black pepper, and Tabasco sauce in it. Close the lid, shake well, and the marinade is ready! Marinate the tilapia for around 45 minutes so that it can soak up the flavor. Remove the fillets carefully, and place it on a hot grill. Grill the fillets for about 5 minutes for each side. Remove it carefully without any breakage, and season with pepper and oregano.
