Baked Chicken With Provolone And Ziti Recipes

BAKED CHICKEN WITH PROVOLONE AND ZITI

Steps:

• Put the chicken breasts in a baking pan, sprayed with a non-stick spray. Sprinkle herbs on top of chicken breasts. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees F for 1 hour. Meanwhile, heat the sauce and cook the ziti separately (cook ziti according to directions on the box). Once the ziti is cooked and drained, return to the saucepan and put a pat of margarine or butter in it. Mix well, and pour into another 1 1/2 qt sprayed baking dish. When the chicken is finished baking, put it on top of the ziti, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Pour the sauce on top of all and place the cheese on top of the chicken. Put under the broiler until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

BAKED ZITI I

Steps:

• Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add ziti pasta, and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes; drain.
• In a large skillet, brown onion and ground beef over medium heat. Add spaghetti sauce, and simmer 15 minutes.
• Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish. Layer as follows: 1/2 of the ziti, Provolone cheese, sour cream, 1/2 sauce mixture, remaining ziti, mozzarella cheese and remaining sauce mixture. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
• Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until cheeses are melted.

Once the ziti is cooked and drained, return to the saucepan and put a pat of margarine or butter in it. Mix well, and pour into another 1½ qt sprayed baking dish . When the chicken is finished baking, put it ontop of the ziti, and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Pour the sauce ontop of all and place the cheese ontop of the chicken. Put under the broiler until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
