AVOCADO SALSA RECIPE BY TASTY

Here's what you need: ripe avocados, red onion, tomatoes, fresh cilantro, limes, garlic, salt, pepper, red wine vinegar, feta cheese, tortilla chip

Number Of Ingredients 11

3 ripe avocados, diced
½ red onion, chopped
2 tomatoes, diced
¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
2 limes, juiced
2 cloves garlic, chopped
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
½ cup feta cheese
tortilla chip, for serving

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and gently mix together.
  • For best flavor, allow to set 30 minutes.
  • Garnish with additional feta just before serving.
  • Enjoy!

The basic recipe came from Better Homes and Garden, but I added a few extra things. It is a delicious and easy appitizer.

2 medium tomatoes, chopped (I de-seed mine)
1 avocado, chopped
1/2 vidalia onion, chopped
1 small garlic clove, minced
3 -4 basil leaves, chopped (1 tsp. dried basil works fine too)
1 teaspoon dried parsley
5 -6 sun-dried tomatoes, chopped (marinated in oil)
1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoons red wine vinegar
1 -2 dash salt
1 -2 dash pepper
4 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
tortilla chips

Steps:

  • Combine tomatoes, avacado, onion, garlic, basil, parsley, sundried tomatoes, salt and pepper, oil and vinegar.
  • Stir to mix.
  • Gently stir in feta.
  • Cover and chill until ready to eat.
  • Serve with Totilla chips.

1/4 cup chopped purple onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh oregano
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 tablespoon red wine vinegar
2 ounces crumbled feta cheese

Steps:

  • Combine the chopped avocado and tomatoes in a large bowl.
  • Add remaining ingredients, folding in cheese last.
  • Serve right away with tortilla chips.
