MOM'S SHRIMP DIP

This dip is one of the easiest and best appetizers you'll ever make. It's thick and creamy, and full of clean shrimp flavor. It's a Christmas Eve tradition for my family!

Number Of Ingredients 6

Ingredients

1 can (4 oz.) tiny shrimp, drained and rinsed
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. mayonnaise (Do not use Miracle Whip!)
1/3 c. finely chopped green onion, plus a bit more for sprinkling over the top
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

Set aside a few of the nicer looking shrimp, then chop up the rest.
In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese and mayonnaise until well blended. A blender works best, to get the mixture nice and smooth. Then stir in the chopped shrimp, green onion, and garlic salt.
Transfer dip to a small serving bowl and top with reserved whole shrimp and additional green onion. Sprinkle a bit of freshly ground black pepper over the top. Serve with crackers and fresh veggies for dipping. For crackers, we mostly serve this dip with Ritz Original Crackers or Keebler Original Club Crackers.

1 - 8 ounce(s) cream cheese, softened and whipped
1/2 cup(s) hellmanns mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon(s) lemon juice
3 - 4 - green onions - chopped
1/2 teaspoon(s) worschesterchire sauce
1/2 teaspoon(s) prepared horseradish
1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon(s) celery seed
1/2 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper
3 small (4) ounce cans - tiny shrimp, drained and rinsed

Steps:

Whip cream cheese well. Stir in remaining ingredients, until well blended. Chill several hours. Spread on crackers or chips, veggies work too!

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 (4.5 ounce) can small shrimp, drained
¼ cup mayonnaise
3 teaspoons dry sherry
1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
1 teaspoon grated onion
1 dash seasoned salt

Steps:

Melt cream cheese in the top of a double boiler. Stir in shrimp, mayonnaise, sherry, mustard, onion, and seasoned salt until combined.

A quick and easy retro party classic. This Shrimp Dip is a perfect choice for your New Year's Eve menu!

Ingredients

½ cup chili sauce (I used Heinz)
8 ounces cream cheese (slightly softened)
½ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup grated onion (use your cheese grater)
1 teaspoon creamed horseradish
1 dash or two Worcestershire Sauce
1 dash or two or three Tabasco Sauce
½ pound cooked salad shrimp or shrimp meat (divided (can sub small can shrimp))
2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
Ritz Crackers
celery sticks

Steps:

Use an electric mixer to blend the chili sauce into the cream cheese in a large mixing bowl until very smooth. Add all of the remaining ingredients, except the shrimp, and blend until well combined.
Use a spoon to fold in the shrimp and chives, reserving a couple of tablespoons of shrimp for garnish. Cover and chill for at least an hour or two prior to serving.
Pile the reserved shrimp in the center of the dip and serve with Ritz Crackers and celery sticks.

2 (8 ounce) packages light cream cheese
2 (4 ounce) cans baby shrimp
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
1 -2 ounce of fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon red hot sauce
1 teaspoon garlic salt
2 tablespoons chopped pickled jalapeno peppers
2 teaspoons dill weed

Steps:

Soften cream cheese.
Drain and rinse shrimp.
Stir all the ingredients (except the shrimp) together till smooth.
Add shrimp and stir lightly.
Sprinkle parsley on top.
