SLOW COOKER CARAMEL-APPLE CRISP
I combined several recipes to come up with this easy and delicious slow cooker apple crisp dessert. Serve with vanilla ice cream and additional caramel topping.

Steps:
- Mix apples, white sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon together in a slow cooker. Drizzle with caramel topping and melted butter.
- Mix cake mix and oatmeal together in a bowl. Cut in butter using 2 knives or a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Place on top of apple mixture in the slow cooker.
- Cook on High until cooked down and golden on top, 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

- 1. Peel, core and cut each apple into 16 wedges. Set aside. 2. Combine apple juice, caramels, vanilla and cinnamon in the crockpot. Add the apples. Add the peanut butter by teaspoons to the apples. Stir. 3. Cook and cover for 5 hours on Low. Stir to mix thoroughly and cook 1 more hour. 4. Serve over angel food cake with vanilla ice cream.

Steps:
- Mix oatmeal, sugar, flour, pecans and spices in a small bowl.
- Stir melted butter and vanilla into mixture until it is crumbly.
- Put half of the sliced apples in crock pot and spoon half of oatmeal mixture on top.
- Cover with remaining apples and top with the rest of the crumb topping.
- Cook on high about 2 1/2 hours.

- Remove about 1/2 inch of peel off top of each apple.
- Place apples in crock pot.
- Pour juice over apples.
- Fill center of each apple with: 2 Tbsp brown sugar, 3 cinnamon candies, 1 Tbsp butter, and 2 caramels.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until apples are tender.
- Serve hot with a dollop of whipped cream, if desired.
