- Preheat an air fryer to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 4 minutes.
- Place desired amount of potato nuggets into the air fryer basket in a single layer, working in batches if necessary.
- Cook in the preheated air fryer for 6 minutes. Shake the basket. Cook until crispy, or to desired doneness, about 4 minutes more.

- Add the Tater Tots to the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook the Tater Tots on 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 minutes, tossing the tots every 4 minutes. Add an additional 1-2 minutes for crispier tots.

- Preheat air fryer to 350°. In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Season with salt and pepper. , Transfer to a greased 2-qt. baking dish that will fit in the air-fryer basket. Top with Tater Tots. Combine soup and milk; pour over potatoes. Sprinkle with cheese. Place baking dish on tray in air-fryer basket. Cook, uncovered, until heated through, 30-40 minutes.
