7-UP® BISCUITS
You'd never believe that these biscuits have only four ingredients and one of them is soda! They can be whipped up in no time and come out light and fluffy with a decadent flavor.

7-UP SOUR CREAM BISCUITS
I saw this super-easy recipe floating around Facebook and had to give it a try. The biscuits are surprisingly delicious & don't taste like Bisquick! I'm only adding the recipe here so I can find it again in the future when it's time to add it to a Family Favorites cookbook. =^..^=

Steps:
- 1. Mist a 13 x 9" baking dish with cooking spray. Add the stick of butter & place in a cold oven. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
- 2. In a large bowl, add the Bisquick, sour cream, and 7-Up. Stir together until well-blended. The dough will be soft & sticky at this point.
- 3. Sprinkle a little more Bisquick on a clean counter and spoon out the dough on it. Dust a little more Bisquick over the dough, then on your hands. Knead & fold over the dough maybe 8 or 10 times, adding a little more Bisquick, if needed, until dough can be patted out.
- 4. Dip a biscuit cutter (or a glass) into some Bisquick and cut out the biscuits.
- 5. When the butter has melted, remove the pan from the oven.
- 6. Take each biscuit in turn and put it in the melted butter, then turn it over so both sides are buttered. Continue until all biscuits are in the baking dish.
- 7. Bake at 425 degrees F. for about 12-15 minutes, or until browned on top & bottom. Check early the first time you make them since all ovens are different!
- 8. Although I put butter on this biscuit for the photo, it didn't need it! The melted butter from the recipe is plenty.
- 9. These biscuits would also be great with https://www.justapinch.com/recipes/breakfast/meat-breakfast/sausage-gravy-101.html?p=21 or https://www.justapinch.com/recipes/main-course/beef/hamburger-sos.html?p=15. I'm also thinking of cutting back the melted butter (maybe 3/4 of the stick?) and adding some sugar to the baking mix in Step #2 to make Sweet Biscuits for Strawberry Shortcakes. What do you think? =^..^=

Steps:
- Mix the sour cream into the biscuit mix, using a pastry blender or two table knives, until mixture is crumbly. Add 7-Up all at once, stir quickly with a large fork.
- Turn out onto lightly floured board and quickly knead 6-8 times. Don't overmix or biscuits will be tough. Pat into a square and cut into about 18 equal pieces using a knife dipped in flour. Can also use a 2 to 3-inch biscuit cutter.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Cut the sour cream into your biscuit mix. "Cutting in" is simply incorporating your sour cream, butter or shortening into your dry baking mix without using a mixer. You can use a fork, knife, pastry cutter or the tools God gave you, your fingers. You just want to make sure that each portion of your {wet} ingredient gets coated with the dry mix.
- Stir in 1/2 cup 7 Up. The dough will be very soft, don't worry.
- Sprinkle additional baking mix on to your counter, about a 1/2 cup seems to work just fine.
- Knead and fold dough until coated with your baking mix. Pat dough out, (no rolling pin needed) and cut biscuits using a round biscuit/cookie cutter. Don't have one, no problem, you can certainly use a glass or empty soup can to cut out your biscuits. Where there's a will, there's a way! Improvising is fine.
- Melt butter in a 9 inch square pan. I stick my pan and butter in the oven for a few minutes. Just a few though, the butter will burn, so watch it.
- Place cut biscuits on top of melted butter and bake for 12-15 minutes or until brown.
