HOMEMADE CRANBERRY SAUCE RECIPE



Homemade Cranberry Sauce Recipe image

Simple, delicious, very easy to make and keeps for several months in the fridge.

Number Of Ingredients 3

450 grams or one pound of cranberries (16 ounces)
200 grams or one cup of sugar
enough water to cover two thirds of the cranberries

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients into a heavy pot on high to medium high heat
  • When the berries boil, turn the heat down to maintain a boil
  • Boil for 10 minutes
  • Pour into jars and cool to room temperature
  • Store covered in the fridge

1 bag (12 ounces) cranberries
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
1 cup water

Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, lemon zest, and water; bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer; cook until cranberries are soft, about 10 minutes. Transfer to a bowl, and let cool to room temperature.
