Number Of Ingredients 10

8 ounces uncooked small tube pasta
1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
3/4 cup diced onion
3/4 cup diced green pepper
1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
1 tablespoon honey
2 to 3 teaspoons chili powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 cups reduced-fat sour cream

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large nonstick skillet, cook the beef, onion and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add the tomatoes, jalapenos, honey, chili powder and salt. Reduce heat to low; cook, uncovered, for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. , Drain pasta; add to beef mixture. Add sour cream; cook and stir until heated through (do not boil).

1 tablespoons honey

1.5 cups sour cream

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large nonstick skillet, cook the beef, onion and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
  • Add the tomatoes, jalapenos, honey, chili powder and salt. Reduce heat to low; cook, uncovered, for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Drain pasta; add to beef mixture. Add sour cream; cook and stir until heated through (do not boil).

2 medium red onions, divided
1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
3/4 teaspoon salt-free seasoning blend
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Dash ground nutmeg
1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon reduced-sodium beef bouillon granules
1/2 cup cold water
2 teaspoons butter
1-1/2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms

Steps:

  • Thinly slice 1-1/2 onions; finely chop remaining onion half. In a large bowl, toss bread crumbs with chopped onion and seasonings. Add beef; mix lightly but thoroughly. Shape into four 1/2-in.-thick oval patties., Place a lightly oiled large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add patties; cook 5-6 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160°. Remove from pan. Discard drippings from pan., In a small bowl, mix cornstarch, bouillon and water until smooth. In same skillet, heat butter over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms and sliced onions; cook and stir 5-7 minutes or until onions are tender., Stir in cornstarch mixture. Bring to a boil; cook and stir 1-2 minutes or until thickened. Return Salisbury steaks to pan, turning to coat with sauce; heat through.

1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni
1 pound ground beef
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
¾ cup milk
⅔ cup ketchup
½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
¼ cup chopped green bell pepper
1 cup dried minced onion
1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1 cup crushed potato chips

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bring a saucepan of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta, and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  • Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, stirring until evenly browned; drain. Stir in cooked macaroni, condensed soup, milk, and ketchup until well blended. Mix in the Cheddar cheese, green pepper, and minced onion. Season with salt, and pour into a 2 quart baking dish.
  • Cover, and bake for 40 minutes in the preheated oven. Uncover, sprinkle the top with potato chips, and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes, until chips are toasted.
