I know what the name sounds like, but this is the best salad ever. I came up with the name because I never had a bowl big enough to mix it in, so I used a clean garbage bag to shake it up to mix!

1 (25 ounce) bag nacho cheese plain Doritos, crushed into bitesize pieces
1 head lettuce
2 tomatoes, diced
1 onion, chopped
1 lb ground beef
16 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
1 (16 ounce) can ranch style beans or 1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans, drained
1 (16 ounce) bottle Catalina dressing

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef and onion in a skillet.
  • Drain and set aside to slightly cool.
  • Tear lettuce and place in clean garbage bag.
  • Add tomatoes, beans, cheddar cheese, browned ground beef mixture, crushed Doritos and Catalina salad dressing.
  • Shake bag to make sure all items are mixed and coated with salad dressing.
  • Pour into a serving bowl.

3 pounds ground beef
3 envelopes taco seasoning
3 heads lettuce, shredded
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
3 cups chopped tomatoes
2 cups chopped onion
3 cans (4-1/4 ounces each) chopped or sliced ripe olives, drained
2 cans (15 ounces each) Ranch Style beans (pinto beans in seasoned tomato sauce)
1 package (16 ounces) corn chips
1 bottle (16 ounces) Catalina salad dressing
1 jar (12 ounces) salsa

Steps:

  • Brown beef; drain. Add taco seasoning and prepare according to package directions. Cool. Toss with remaining ingredients in an extra-large resealable plastic bag or large container.

1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
2/3 cup water
1 envelope reduced-sodium taco seasoning
1 medium ripe avocado, peeled and cubed
1 tablespoon finely chopped red onion
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
3/4 cup reduced-fat sour cream
3/4 cup salsa
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 can (2-1/4 ounces) sliced ripe olives, drained
1 small cucumber, peeled and chopped
5 green onions, chopped
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 cups shredded lettuce
Tortilla chips, optional

Steps:

  • In a small skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in water and taco seasoning. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes. Cool., In a small bowl, mash avocado with onion, garlic and lemon juice. In each of four 1-qt. wide-mouth canning jars, divide and layer ingredients in the following order: sour cream, salsa, beef, tomatoes, olives, cucumber, green onions, avocado mixture, cheese and lettuce. Cover and refrigerate until serving. Transfer salads into bowls; toss to combine. If desired, serve with tortilla chips.

1-1/4 cups salsa

1 medium head iceberg lettuce

2 cans (16 ounces each) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
3 cans (2-1/4 ounces each) sliced ripe olives, drained

1 large sweet onion, chopped
