- Mix oats, coconut, and cocoa powder together in a bowl.
- Bring sugar, butter, and milk to a boil in saucepan, stirring occasionally; remove immediately from heat and stir into oat mixture.
- Drop 15 spoonfuls of batter onto a sheet of waxed paper. Cool to room temperature before serving.

- beat together first 5 ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
- Blend the flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg, in the mixture.
- Stir raisens,oatmeal, coconuts and walnuts, into the mixture, the mixture will be very stiff.
- Roll into 1 inch balls and place on greased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
- Cool about 2-3 minutes before removing from baking pan.

- In a saucepan over medium heat combine the shortening, milk and white sugar.
- Stirring constantly, bring mixture to a boil and continue to boil and stir for 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add cocoa, coconut and oatmeal.
- Stir mixture well.
- Drop tsp sized drops onto a waxed paper lined cookie sheet.
- Place cookies in the refrigerator and allow them to set, then place in an airtight container to store.

- 2. Sift together the flour, soda, and salt, then add to first mixture.
- 3. Fold in oats and nuts. They should be thoroughly moistened.*The mixture will be very stiff.
- 4. Form balls using a teaspoon and put on a greased cookie sheet.
- 5. Bake 10-15 minutes at 350.
- 6. *You can substitute coconut for the pecans if you wish. *You can also brush the tops with edible gold if you're having a party and want to impress your guests. LOL!
