The sweet sunrise is a fantastic nonalcoholic brunch drink. The easy recipe requires just two common ingredients to create a virgin tequila sunrise.

Ingredients

4 to 6 ounces orange juice
1/2 to 1 ounce grenadine (to taste)
Garnish: orange slice

Steps:

Gather the ingredients.
Fill a tall glass with ice and orange juice, leaving a little room at the top.
Slowly pour grenadine over the juice. It will sink to the bottom and slowly rise to the top as you drink.
Garnish with an orange slice. Serve and enjoy.

Master the art of a classic tequila sunrise, with grenadine, tequila, triple sec, orange juice - and of course a cocktail cherry and umbrella as garnish

Ingredients

2 tsp grenadine
ice
50ml tequila
1 tbsp triple sec
1 large orange, or 2 small ones, juiced
½ lemon, juiced
1 cocktail cherry

Steps:

Pour the grenadine into the base of a tall glass and set aside. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add the tequila, triple sec and fruit juices. Shake until the outside of the shaker feels cold.
Add a few ice cubes to the serving glass then carefully double strain the cocktail into it, trying not to disturb the grenadine layer too much. Add more ice if needed to fill the glass then garnish with a cherry on a stick or cocktail umbrella.

1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger tequila
¾ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
ice cubes
½ (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger grenadine syrup
1 slice orange, for garnish
1 maraschino cherry for garnish

Steps:

Stir or shake together tequila and orange juice. Fill a chilled 12 ounce glass with ice cubes; pour in orange juice mixture. Slowly pour in the grenadine, and allow it to settle to the bottom of the glass (be patient). Garnish with a slice of orange, and a maraschino cherry.

This cocktail was invented by my former brother-in-law, Randall Brown, in 1984 who was at that time the bartender at Shawnee State Park Resort Lodge in Friendship, Ohio. This is a pleasant, sweet, dessert cocktail with a lot of eye appeal. Of course, Tecumseh was a Shawnee Indian leader of much renown, living in the Ohio Valley during the late 1700s, early 1800s.

Ingredients

5 ice cubes
4 ounces orange juice, cold
1 ounce Amaretto
1 ounce Southern Comfort
1 ounce grenadine

Steps:

In a 12-ounce glass, pour in the orange juice, amaretto, and Southern Comfort -- stir.
Add the ice cubes.
Slowly pour in the grenadine (which will go to the bottom of the glass). Do not stir. Serve.
