SIMPLE SCRAMBLED EGGS RECIPE BY TASTY



Simple Scrambled Eggs Recipe by Tasty image

Here's what you need: eggs, salt, pepper, unsalted butter

Number Of Ingredients 4

4 eggs
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Steps:

  • In a bowl, whisk the eggs. Add salt and pepper to taste. Whisk to combine.
  • Add the butter to a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Once the butter has melted and begins to bubble, turn the heat to low, and add the eggs.
  • Using a spatula, gently push the eggs back and forth across the pan until they are cooked to your liking.
  • Enjoy!

Here's what you need: eggs, water, ice

6 eggs
water, to cover
ice, for ice bath

Steps:

  • Place eggs in a pot. Cover with cold water until the eggs are covered by about 1 inch (2 cm) of water.
  • Bring to a boil, uncovered. Once boiling, take off the heat.
  • Cover and cook for 4-16 minutes, depending on preference (4-6 minutes for soft-boiled, 8-10 minutes for medium-boiled, 12-16 minutes for hard-boiled). In the meantime, fill a large bowl with ice and cold water, creating an ice bath.
  • Once eggs reach desired cook-time, immediately remove the eggs from pot and place in the ice bath. Allow eggs to cool for 10-15 minutes.
  • To peel, lightly tap the eggs on a flat surface, then gently roll back and forth (taking extra care with soft-boiled eggs).
  • Pull away the loosened shell and peel any remaining pieces.
  • Serve as is or incorporate into your favorite recipe that requires hard-boiled eggs.
  • Enjoy!

'I found this tasty stovetop recipe while looking for something quick to fix for dinner,' recalls Deb Cornelius of Grant, Nebraska. 'My teenager son, who can be a picky eater, really likes the combination of hash browns, ham and broccoli, so I make it frequently.'

1 cup frozen hash brown potato cubes, thawed
¼ cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 cup fresh or frozen broccoli florets
½ cup julienned fully cooked ham
4 large eggs eggs
1 tablespoon milk
¼ teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
¼ teaspoon dill weed

Steps:

  • In a skillet, cook the potatoes and onion in butter over medium heat until lightly browned, about 10 minutes. Add broccoli; cook until tender. stir in ham. In a bowl, beat eggs, milk, lemon-pepper and dill if desired. Pour over potato mixture; cook for 3-5 minutes or until eggs are completely set, stirring occasionally.
