If you select ‚show all pictures on Drive‘ (or similar) you can even upload further up the directory. The app should continue to upload and it will upload duplicates.

This solution assumes you have duplicates between two different folder hierarchies, and it will delete all duplicates in one of the hierarchies. For N duplicates it reduces the number of selection clicks to N/50. Here's a translation of that method:

Now cut-paste from WEB to MOBILE folder using filestation or whatever, and choose to skip duplicates. Now, you can safely verify and delete the WEB folder.. thoughts?
