Spiked Root Beer Float Recipes

ROOT BEER FLOAT

Steps:

• Spoon a scoop or two of vanilla ice cream into a tall glass. Slowly pour root beer into the glass, allowing the foam to rise and then recede before adding more root beer. Serve with straws and spoons. SPIKED ROOT BEER FLOAT BAR

Steps:

• Arrange all of the ingredients so the guests can help themselves.
• To make the float: Spoon two scoops of the ice cream of your choice into a chilled pilsner glass. Drizzle with a tablespoon or two of fudge or caramel sauce. Pour half a bottle of root beer over the ice cream. Top with a brandied cherry if desired.
• Serve with a long spoon and a straw.

Steps:

• Pour 2 to 3 ounces of whiskey into each chilled pint glass.
• Dip ice cream scoop into hot water and make small scoops to drop into glass. Use scoop to push or slightly pack ice cream down into whiskey.
• Slowly pour chilled root beer over the ice cream.
• Serve with a large straw and a long handled spoon. Typically blending is not required.
