1 (16 ounce) package shelled edamame
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon kosher salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Toss edamame, olive oil, and salt together in a large bowl. Spread in a single layer in a shallow baking pan.
  • Roast in the preheated oven until edamame are crispy, 20 to 30 minutes.

1 (12 ounce) package frozen edamame (soybeans) in their pods
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Toss edamame, olive oil, garlic, sea salt, and black pepper together in a large bowl until well-coated. Spread in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  • Roast in the preheated oven, stirring halfway through, until edamame shells start to brown, about 20 minutes. Serve whole, popping beans out of the shell to eat.

  • Place edamame in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Cover and cook until tender, 4-5 minutes; drain. Transfer to a large bowl. Add the seasonings; toss to coat.

A unique twist to traditional edamame. We had this at a restaurant and found oyster sauce is the key to this dish!

1 (10 ounce) package frozen shelled edamame
2 tablespoons sesame oil
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes, or to taste

Steps:

  • Heat a saute pan over high heat. Add edamame, sesame oil, vinegar, oyster sauce, sriracha sauce, and sesame seeds. Cook, stirring frequently, until sauce coats all pods evenly, 3 to 5 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes before serving.
