This easy roasted Brussels sprouts with parmesan and balsamic recipe is made with simple ingredients and is tasty enough to please even the pickiest eaters!

24 ounces (1.5 pounds) fresh Brussels sprouts
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
⅓ cup grated parmesan cheese (the kind that comes in the shaker)
1 cup balsamic vinegar
4 tablespoons honey
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees and grease a large baking sheet. Cut Brussels sprouts in half lengthwise and place in a large bowl with olive oil, toss to coat.
  • Sprinkle on top salt, pepper, garlic powder, and parmesan cheese, stir well to combine. Transfer to prepared baking sheet and turn all of the Brussels sprouts over so that they are flat-side down. Bake for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender.
  • While Brussels sprouts are cooking, prepare the balsamic glaze. Add balsamic vinegar to a medium sauce pan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and boil for 6-8 minutes until reduced to half the original volume. Remove from heat, stir in honey, garlic powder, and salt. Transfer to a bowl and allow to cool, when ready to serve drizzle over Brussels sprouts.

1 (16 ounce) package Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
½ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 pinch red pepper flakes, or to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Spread onto a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • Roast in the preheated oven, shaking every 5 minutes, until crispy and fork-tender, about 20 minutes. Toss with balsamic vinegar and sprinkle with Parmesan. Continue roasting until melted, about 1 minute more. Sprinkle with red pepper.

500g/ 1lb brussels sprouts ((Note 1))
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 garlic cloves (, minced)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/3 cup (30g) parmesan (, finely grated)
1/3 cup panko breadcrumbs ((Note 2))

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 200°C/400°F.
  • Prepare brussels sprouts: Trim the base, cut in half and remove the loose, rough outer leaves.
  • Place in a bowl, pour over oil and toss gently.
  • Sprinkle with garlic, salt, pepper, parmesan and breadcrumbs.
  • Toss to coat, then spread out on tray cut face down.
  • Roast for 20 minutes, flip then roast for a further 10 minutes until the outer leaves are deep golden brown and crispy (see photos/video).
  • Immediately transfer to warm serving bowl. Scrape loose parmesan breadcrumbs off the tray and sprinkle, then serve immediately.

Steps:

  • Remove the stem from each sprout and cut in half. Place the brussels sprouts in a large bowl.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients to the bowl and toss to cover.
  • Spread the sprouts onto a baking sheet.
  • Bake in a 400˚F (200˚C) oven for 20 minutes.
  • Flip the sprouts, then bake for an additional 20 minutes or until the sprouts are fork-tender and golden.
  • Enjoy!
