SPICE IT!
I just hate to see a recipe that tells me to add a package of "taco seasoning". It's so much cheaper and so much tastier to put your own seasoning together. And you don't get all the salt and all the fillers that waste money and may not be as healthy. You of course can alter this to suit your tastes. Steps:
- Mix together with a whisk and store in a air tight container out of the sunlight. (if you have any of your spices in seeds such as coriander or cumin, either whir up in a grinder or grind with a mortar and pestle.
- Multiply by a factor of 10 and you will have plenty on hand!
SPICE IT UP MARINADE OR SAUCE
We like this very spicy sauce over green beans but think it may be good over other types of veggies also. Ripped this out of a magazine way back when. The magazine recommended marinating shrimp fallowed by grilling with chopped veggies.

Steps:
- Combine all ingredients.
- *Using as a sauce toss with very hot veggies in a hot pan for about 30 seconds.
- **Using as a marinade toss with shelled and de-veined shrimp. Turn to coat, marinate for a couple of hours. Grill with chopped veggies.
