1 (750 ml) bottle beaujolais wine or 1 (750 ml) bottle dry red wine
1 cup cranberry juice
1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup cranberry liqueur (optional)
1 orange, thinly sliced
1 lime, thinly sliced
2 cups well-chilled orange, lemon-lime or berry flavored sparkling water

Steps:

  • Combine wine, cranberry juice, orange juice, liqueur, orange slices and lime slices in large glass pitcher.
  • Chill for 2 hours before serving.
  • Just before serving, pour the sangria into a punch bowl.
  • Slowly add the flavored sparkling water.

4 limes, divided
4 pkt. (0.08 oz. each) CRYSTAL LIGHT On The Go Raspberry Ice Flavor Drink Mix
1 qt. (4 cups) cold low-calorie cranberry juice cocktail
1 cup cranberries
8 fresh thyme sprigs
3 cans (12 oz. each) cran-raspberry-flavored seltzer, chilled

Steps:

  • Squeeze juice from 2 limes; pour into 2-qt. glass or plastic pitcher. Slice remaining limes; add to pitcher.
  • Add all remaining ingredients except seltzer; stir until drink mixes are dissolved.
  • Refrigerate 1 hour.
  • Add seltzer just before serving; stir until blended.

I made this up for a Thanksgiving Potluck last year. It was such a hit, I had to make a second bowl!

2 pints cranberry juice (100% juice is best)
2 pints orange juice
1 (750 ml) bottle red wine (I like Beaujolais, but any light fruity red wine will do.)
1 -2 orange, sliced (for garnish)

Steps:

  • Chill all ingredients.
  • Pour juices and wine into punch bowl.
  • Float orange slices on top.
  • Variations: You may adjust the proportions of juice to wine, depending on the strength and flavor profile of your particular wine.
  • This is also good with limes and lemons.
  • Ice cubes made of frozen juice are a nice addition, or you can freeze the citrus slices and use them to keep sangria cold.
  • This can be halved, doubled, tripled, etc. easily for any size group.

My neighbor made this four years ago, and surprised me bringing half of the sangria to my home as gift! Along with the recipe! It was delicious, I have made it every since. The color is so pretty, and your guests will love it.

1 bottle ( 750 ml ) dry red wine
1 c cranberry juice cocktail
1 c orange juice
1 orange, thinly sliced
1 lime, thinly sliced
1/2 c cranberry-flavored liquer (optional)
2 c club soda

Steps:

  • 1. Combine wine, cranberry juice cocktail, orange juice liqueur,orange and the lime slices in a large glass pitcher. Chill 2-8 hours before serving. Pour into glasses,add a orange or a lime slice from sangria to each glass. Makes about 10-12 servings.
  • 2. For sparkling sangria: Just before serving, tilt pitcher and slowly add 2 cups of well chilled sparkling water,or club soda.Continue as above. makes about 12-15 servings
