- Place sweet potatoes in 2- to 3 1/2-quart slow cooker. Mix remaining ingredients except nuts; spoon over potatoes.
- Cover and cook on low heat setting 6 to 8 hours or until potatoes are very tender.
- Sprinkle with nuts. This recipe was tested in slow cookers with heating elements in the side and bottom of the cooker, not in cookers that stand only on a heated base. For slow cookers with just a heated base, follow the manufacturer's directions for layering ingredients and choosing a temperature.

- Place sweet potatoes in a 4-qt. slow cooker. In a small bowl, mix applesauce, brown sugar, melted butter and cinnamon; pour over potatoes., Cook, covered, on low 4-5 hours or until potatoes are tender. If desired, sprinkle with pecans before serving. Serve with a slotted spoon.

- Combine sweet potatoes, apple, cranberries, orange juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a slow cooker and stir. Add melted butter and stir again.
- Cook on High for 2 hours, stirring every hour to redistribute liquid. Reduce heat to Low and continue cooking and stirring until sweet potatoes are tender, 2 to 4 hours more.
- Set slow cooker to Warm setting until ready to serve. Serve garnished with pecans.
