- Spread about 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar on the bottom of the slow cooker crock. Place the ham flat side down into the slow cooker - you might have to trim it a little to make it fit. Use your hands to rub the remaining brown sugar onto the ham. Cover, and cook on Low for 8 hours.

CROCK-POT BROWN SUGAR PICNIC HAM RECIPE
With just 4 ingredients you can cook up a delicious picnic ham right in your slow cooker. Perfect for any holiday meal or for Sunday dinner!

Steps:
- Add 3/4 cup of the pineapple juice to the bottom of a 6 quart or larger slow cooker.
- Add 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar to the pineapple juice and mix until all the brown sugar is moistened.
- With the fat side down, place the ham inside the slow cooker.
- Using a sharp knife, score the ham about 1/4 inch deep all over the top of the ham.
- Pour 2 tablespoons of pineapple juice carefully over the top of the ham to moisten the ham.
- Rub the remaining 1/2 cup of brown sugar into the top of the ham.
- Poke the whole cloves into the cross sections of the scoring lines.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 9 hours or on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours, basting the ham 2 to 3 times with the liquid in the slow cooker.
- Cook the ham until the internal temperature of the ham reaches 145° on an instant read meat thermometer.
- Carefully remove ham from the slow cooker and place it on a platter. Tent the ham loosely with foil and allow the ham to rest 10 to 15 minutes before slicing the ham.

SLOW COOKER HAM WITH PINEAPPLE
This ham was a big hit at an Easter party a few years back. I got the recipe and have been making it ever since! It's simple since it only has 3 ingredients, but it's delicious nonetheless! I prefer to leave my ham whole once it's done cooking, but others have said they like to shred the ham into chunks and mix the cooked pineapple with it.

- Place ham in slow cooker with the fattier side facing down. Use toothpicks to attach pineapple rings to the ham. Pour juice from the can over the ham. Pour the cola into the slow cooker.

- Place the ham and liquid in the slow cooker. Cook one hour on high. This will get the temperature of the slow cooker high enough to thoroughly cook the ham. Turn the slow cooker temperature to low and cook for six to eight hours. The picnic ham is fully cooked when its internal temperature reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove the ham from the slow cooker and set it on a platter on the counter. Cover it lightly with aluminum foil. Let the ham rest for 10 minutes. It is now ready to serve.
