Garlic-Parmesan Cheeseburgers image

If you love garlic, parmesan, and cheeseburgers, these Garlic-Parmesan Cheeseburgers will be your new favorite burger! They are a quick fix on your grill.

1 pound ground beef
3-4 cloves garlic (minced)
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese (look near the other packaged shredded cheese in your grocery store)
1 Tablespoon dried minced onion
1 Tablespoon Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce
4 hamburger buns
Optional: extra Parmesan cheese for topping

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, combine beef, garlic, Parmesan cheese, minced onion, and Worcestershire sauce. Using your hands, mix until all ingredients are well-mixed.
  • Separate the beef mixture into 4 approximately equal portions.
  • Place one portion at a time into a burger press and form into patties. (Or, use your hands to form meat into patties.)
  • Heat your grill to high heat.
  • Grill burgers for 3-4 minutes per side, flipping once, until the internal temperature measures 160 degrees F with a meat thermometer.
  • If desired, lightly toast buns on the grill during last few minutes of cooking.
  • Top burgers with extra Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.

3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
3/4 cup marinara sauce, divided
1/2 cup finely chopped or shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 pound ground chicken
4 slices part-skim mozzarella cheese
4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Fresh basil leaves, optional

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon oil over medium-high heat. Add onion; cook and stir until tender, about 3 minutes. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Remove from heat; cool slightly., In a large bowl, combine 1/4 cup marinara sauce, chopped mozzarella cheese, bread crumbs, seasonings and onion mixture. Add chicken; mix lightly but thoroughly. With wet hands, shape into four 1/2-in.-thick patties., In the same skillet, heat remaining 2 tablespoons oil over medium heat. Cook burgers until a thermometer reads 165°, 4-5 minutes on each side. Top with sliced mozzarella cheese; cook, covered, until cheese is melted, 1-2 minutes., Serve in buns; top with remaining 1/2 cup marinara sauce, Parmesan cheese and, if desired, basil leaves.

  • In a small bowl, mix melted butter and minced garlic. Lay each burger bun flat on a foiled baking sheet, inside facing up. Using a silicone brush, coat the inside of each burger bun with the butter mixture. Bake for 3-5 minutes or until the buns are toasted to your liking.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine chicken, basil, parmesan cheese, Italian bread crumbs, red pepper flakes, thyme, oregano, garlic powder, and salt. Form chicken mixture into 4 equal-sized patties, about ¼ inch thick.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil on medium-high heat. Cook the chicken patties for 4-5 minutes on each side. Flip patties when the bottom has turned golden brown, then add the marinara sauce to the pan.
