Well I was really cravign somethign sweet so I took a basic cake recipe only i didnt have any vanilla so I put in raspberry jam instead. Turned out pretty tasty my 15 mo old REALLY enjoyed it. Makes a good quick breakfast.

1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup flour
1 egg
spoonfull jelly (if you would like a chocolate cake add in 3 tablespoons cocoa powder, you can also make peanut butte) or jam (if you would like a chocolate cake add in 3 tablespoons cocoa powder, you can also make peanut butte)

Steps:

  • Melt the butter about half wasy, just so it's really easy to stir.
  • Add the sugar and mix together.
  • then add the egg and beat inches.
  • Add the flour and jelly or whatever you chose and blend together.
  • microwave for 1 minute 30 seconds.

This cake is really simple to make, and it's really good. You make it right in the microwave in any size mug.

2 tablespoons flour
3 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons oil
splash vanilla
2 tablespoons chocolate chips

Steps:

  • 1) Mix flour, sugar, and cocoa powder in the mug.
  • 2) Add egg and mix well.
  • 3) Add in milk, oil and vanilla.
  • 4) Stir in Chocolate chips.
  • 5) Put in microwave for 1 1/2 minutes DO NOT OVERBAKE.
  • 6) Turn mug upside down on dish to get cake out.

This single serve cake is excellent for a sweet tooth and when one doesn't want to overeat. It is soft and delicious. You can actually increase the quantities to make a full cake. This recipe was developed by my mother when her oven broke :(

1 tablespoon milk (at room temperature)
1 tablespoon unsalted butter (at room temperature)
1 1/4 tablespoons sugar
1 3/4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon cocoa powder
1 pinch baking soda

Steps:

  • Mix bilk, butter, and sugar in a small microwave safe bowl.
  • Add flour, cocoa and baking soda to the bowl. Mix so that there are no lumps.
  • Microwave on high for 1 - 1:30 minutes (depends on the microwave- mine comes out in 1 minute). The cake will spring back on touch when done.
  • Let stand for couple of seconds.
  • Serve with chocolate sauce or just plain ice-cream. Enjoy.

3 tablespoons butter, softened
¼ cup white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ cup milk
½ cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
¼ teaspoon baking powder
1 pinch salt

Steps:

  • Spray a medium microwave-safe bowl with non-stick spray and set aside. In a mixing bowl, combine the butter, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and milk; blend together. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt; blend into the mixture until smooth. Pour into greased bowl.
  • Cover and cook in the microwave on high for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes, or until cake springs back when touched. Since all microwaves cook differently, adjust the cooking time to accommodate your machine. To serve, let the cake cool five minutes, then cover the bowl with a plate and turn both bowl and plate upside down so the cake falls onto the plate.
