1 ripe banana, thickly sliced
2 cup strawberries, hulled
1 cup soy milk
2 tablespoons honey

Steps:

  • In a blender, combine ripe banana, strawberries, soy milk, and honey. Puree until smooth.

1 cup 8th continent vanilla-flavored soymilk (or your favorite)
8 fresh strawberries, slice in half
1 medium ripe banana, cut in thirds
Splenda sugar substitute, as needed
4 ice cubes

Steps:

  • Blenderize, pour into a cute serving glass, insert straw and enjoy.
  • For a smoothie, freeze fruit in plastic zip top baggie and slightly defrost in microwave before dumping in blender and omit the ice cubes.

This is my first original smoothie creation! The soy yogurt makes it really creamy! This makes 1-2 servings, depending on whether it's a meal or just a snack.

1/2 cup vanilla-flavored soymilk (I use Vitasoy Light)
1/2-2/3 cup sliced strawberries or 5 -6 medium strawberries, about
1 (6 ounce) container Silk strawberry soy yogurt (If you don't use Silk, don't blame me for the results - I've tried other brands that tasted terrible)

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
  • You can also add a few crushed ice cubes, but I like it as is.
  • Pour into glasses and enjoy!

  • Blend on low until the blender gains traction, then ramp up to the highest speed as soon as possible (or if your blender has a smoothie function, that will work well). Use your blender’s tamper, if you have one, and stop to scrape down the sides as necessary. If the strawberries refuse to break up, let the mixture rest for several minutes before trying again. Add up to 1/2 cup additional milk if necessary.
  • Once the smoothie is completely smooth and creamy, taste and blend in maple syrup if you’d like a sweeter smoothie. Divide the smoothie into 2 to 4 glasses, depending on your desired serving size. Serve immediately!
