CRESCENT CHICKEN BUNDLES
When I was expecting our third child, this was one of the meals I put in the freezer ahead of time. We now have four kids and they all like these rich chicken pockets. I've also made them with ham or smoked turkey. -Jo Groth, Plainfield, Iowa

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°. Beat cream cheese, 2 tablespoons butter, chives, milk, salt and pepper until blended. Stir in chicken., Unroll crescent roll dough and separate into eight rectangles; press perforations together. Spoon about 1/2 cup chicken mixture in the center of each rectangle. Bring edges up to the center and pinch to seal. Brush with remaining butter. Sprinkle with crushed stuffing, lightly pressing down., Transfer to ungreased baking sheets. Bake until golden brown, 20-25 minutes. Freeze option: Freeze unbaked bundles on baking sheets until firm; transfer to a freezer container. May be frozen up to 2 months. To use, thaw in refrigerator. Bake as directed, increasing time as necessary to heat through.

CRESCENT CHICKEN BUNDLES
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease a baking sheet.
- In a large bowl, use a hand-held mixer or a wooden spoon to mix the cream cheese, 2 tablespoons melted butter, milk, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes together.
- Stir in the chicken and green onions.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 rectangles. Try to stretch them a little into more of a square shape. Press on the preforations to seal them.
- Divide the chicken mixture evenly between the 8 pieces of dough, placing it in the center of each piece.
- Bring the edges of the dough up to the center to form a bundle and press to seal the edges.
- Place them on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the remaining 2 tablespoons of melted butter.
- Sprinkle the tops with the stuffing mix and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

These are very good. You can also make them smaller using the "triangle" instead of the "square" and have as an appetizer instead of the main course.

- Blend cream cheese with 2 Tbsp butter until smooth.
- Add next five ingredients and mix well.
- Spoon 1/2 C meat mixture onto 2"triangles" of dough.
- (don't separate, so you actually have a "square") Pull 4 corners to the top, center of mixture and twist slightly and seal edges by pinching.
- Brush tops with remaining butter and sprinkle with croutons Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 20-25 minutes in a 350* oven until golden brown.

- 1. Heat oven to 350°F. In medium bowl, mix cream cheese and 1 tablespoon softened butter; beat until smooth. Add chicken, chives, salt, pepper, milk and pecans; mix well.
- 2. Separate or cut dough into 4 rectangles. If using crescent dough, firmly press perforations to seal. Spoon 1/2 cup chicken mixture onto center of each rectangle. Pull 4 corners of dough to center of chicken mixture; twist firmly. Pinch edges to seal.
- 3. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Brush tops of sandwiches with 1 tablespoon melted butter; sprinkle with crushed croutons. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.

This recipe was given to me years ago by a dear friend, and it's been a favorite ever since. It makes four huge squares, but if you need more, it's really easy to double the recipe. Steps:
- 1. Beat cream cheese and melted butter until smooth.
- 2. Mix the rest of the ingredients (except crescent rolls) until well blended. Then add cream cheese mixture and stir all together. (Here's where you can add other things, canned carrots, peas, chopped pimentos, chopped broccoli, olives...let your imagination go wild! )
- 3. Preheat oven to 350'F.
- 4. Unroll crescents and using two crescent rolls at a time (to form a rectangle). Press perforations together to seal.
- 5. Fill with chicken mixture and pull the 4 corners to the middle, twist together to seal.
- 6. Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds, paprika, parmesan or chopped parsley, if desired. (So many choices!)
- 7. Bake at 350'F for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- 8. *If you'd like gravy, just use your favorite jar or gravy mix. Let's keep this, easy and quick!
