Steps:

  • Place a few scoops of vanilla ice cream into 2 tall float glasses. Pour the root beer and bourbon, if using, over the ice cream and top with a dollop of whipped cream.

1 (3.5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
2 eggs
1 teaspoon root beer concentrate
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup white chocolate chips, or more to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease 2 baking sheets.
  • Beat butter, brown sugar, and white sugar together in a bowl with an electric mixer until creamy; beat in pudding mix. Add eggs and root beer concentrate; stir in flour and baking soda. Fold chocolate chips into the dough.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart on the baking sheets.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden, 8 to 10 minutes.

1 carton (8 ounces) frozen reduced-fat whipped topping, thawed, divided
3/4 cup cold diet root beer
1/2 cup fat-free milk
1 package (1 ounce) sugar-free instant vanilla pudding mix
1 graham cracker crust (9 inches)
Maraschino cherries, optional

Steps:

  • Set aside and refrigerate 1/2 cup whipped topping for garnish. In a large bowl, whisk the root beer, milk and pudding mix for 2 minutes. Fold in half the remaining whipped topping. Spread into graham cracker crust., Spread remaining whipped topping over pie. Freeze for at least 8 hours or overnight., Dollop reserved whipped topping over each serving; top with a maraschino cherry if desired.

Steps:

  • Hang a large, well packed scoop of vanilla ice cream on the edge of a fountain glass or other tall drinking glass. Fill the glass 3/4 full with root beer. Set the fountain glass on a salad plate, underlining the glass for overflow. Serve floats with straws and parfait spoons. When you are ready to enjoy the floats, knock the ice cream into the root beer and watch it fizz up as the ice cream floats. Yummy! This is the simplest and my most favorite fountain drink!

1 1/3 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened Dutch processed baking cocoa
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, cut into pieces
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
4 eggs
1/2 teaspoon root beer extract
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons root beer

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 325°F. Spray 8-inch square pan with cooking spray.
  • In medium bowl, mix flour, sugar, 1/2 cup of the cocoa and the salt; set aside.
  • In large microwavable bowl, microwave butter and chocolate chips uncovered on High 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute, until melted and mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in flour mixture, eggs and root beer extract. Pour batter into pan.
  • Bake 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out almost clean. Cool completely in pan on cooling rack, about 1 hour.
  • In small bowl, mix powdered sugar, remaining 1/4 cup cocoa and the root beer with whisk until smooth. Pour glaze over brownies. Cut into 4 rows by 4 rows.

1 teaspoon water

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and root beer concentrate. Combine the flour, salt and baking soda; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well., Shape dough into 3/4-in. balls. Place 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375° for 6-8 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool completely., In a small bowl, beat the filling ingredients until smooth. Spread on the bottoms of half of the cookies; top with remaining cookies.
