This purple smoothie is bursting with antioxidants, thanks to the blueberries and frozen pineapple. My kids love the bright purple color, and it also freezes well for popsicles!

1/2 cup water
1/2 cup orange juice
1 frozen banana (, cut into pieces)
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
1/2 cup frozen blueberries

Steps:

  • Combine the water, orange juice, banana, pineapple, and blueberries in a high-speed blender, and blend until very smooth. Add a splash more water, if needed to help it blend.
  • Pour into a glass and serve right away.

1 large banana
1 cup nonfat yogurt
1/2 cup skim milk
1/4 cup non-fat powdered milk
1 tablespoon white sugar (optional)

Steps:

  • Add frozen blueberries, peeled banana, yogurt, milk, powdered milk, and sugar to blender.
  • Blend on "smoothie" setting for 30 - 60 seconds.
  • Pour into glasses and serve while still cold.

This one contains a couple ingredients that will make you think "What??!!" Trust me on this one. The cottage cheese adds lots of protein and gives the smoothie a creamy texture. Spinach adds lots of vitamin A and you can't even taste it (really, I promise!). ___________________________________________ Recipezaar does not have light soy milk in their nutrition database and therefore, the nutrition data is incorrect.
