Pesto Tuna Melts Recipes

PESTO TUNA MELTS

Steps:

• Set oven to broil.
• Place the bread on a cookies sheet.
• Broil with tops about 4 inches from heat until golden brown; turn and broil again until golden brown.
• Spread bread slices with pesto.
• Top with tomato slices, tuna and cheese slices.
• Broil about 1 minute or just until cheese starts to melt.
• Sprinkle with pepper.

• Place bread on ungreased cookie sheet. Broil with tops about 4 inches from heat until golden brown; turn and broil until golden brown.
• Spread bread slices with pesto. Top with tomato, tuna and cheese slices. Broil about 1 minute or just until cheese begins to melt. Sprinkle with pepper.

TUNA-PESTO MELTS ON RYE WITH ROMAINE SALAD WITH CANDIED WALNUTS AND GRAPEFRUIT

Steps:

• Preheat broiler.
• For tuna melts:
• In a medium bowl, combine tuna, pesto, red peppers, mayonnaise, and Parmesan. Mix well and season to taste with salt and black pepper. Spoon tuna mixture onto bread slices and place on a foil-lined baking sheet. Top the tuna with cheese. Broil 2 minutes, until cheese melts.
• For the salad:
• In a small bowl, whisk together oil, vinegar and mustard and season to taste with salt and black pepper. Arrange lettuce on a serving plate and top with grapefruit segments and walnuts. Pour dressing over salad and serve.

PESTO TUNAFISH MELT SANDWICH

Steps:

• 1. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Except for the cheese.
• 2. Assemble your sandwich with your choice of bread putting the cheese on the bread then the tuna mixture then another slice of cheese and top it off with another piece of bread.
• 3. Lightly spread margarine on the outside of your sandwich and cook in a pan until toasty and the cheese has melted.
