PANKO CRUSTED SPINACH AND ARTICHOKE DIP

Panko Crusted Spinach and Artichoke Dip image

The mix of panko, spinach and artichokes make this one tasty recipe. And the addition of white beans is unusual - but tasty. This is great to serve for the big game, but I plan on making this one for every party! I used 15 oz can of beans and a 14 oz can of artichokes, and made sure to drain both of them.

Time 40m

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 pkg frozen chopped spinach
1 can(s) artichoke hearts, canned
1 can(s) white beans
2 clove garlic, minced
1 c cream cheese
2 c asiago cheese, grated
3/4 c sour cream
1/2 c mayonnaise (use the good stuff!)
1 tsp lemon rind, grated
1 pinch salt and pepper
3 Tbsp panko bread crumbs

Steps:

  • 1. Start by defrosting and straining the spinach by squeezing as much of the water out of the spinach. Combine the drained spinach with the grated cheese and chopped artichoke hearts.
  • 2. Place the beans, drained spinach and artichoke hearts in a food processor and pulse together until well combined, don't over mix! Then mix with the remaining ingredients except for the panko bread crumbs. Lightly grease or spray a 2 quart baking dish then fold in the mixture. Top with panko bread crumbs and bake in a pre-heated 375 degree oven uncovered for 25 minutes.
  • 3. Serve immediately with pita chips, crackers or crostini, enjoy!! :)

THE BEST SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP

The Best Spinach Artichoke Dip image

This is our best version of the classic party dip. It's savory and creamy with a slight tang from sour cream and Parmesan -- so hard to resist. We like to use frozen whole leaf spinach and chop it ourselves for more control over the finished texture of the dish.

Time 40m

Yield 6 to 10 servings

Number Of Ingredients 11

Nonstick cooking spray
8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 clove garlic, grated
One 10-ounce box frozen leaf spinach, thawed, drained, squeezed dry and coarsely chopped (see Cook's Note)
One 14-ounce can artichoke hearts, drained well and coarsely chopped
1/2 cup shredded whole-milk mozzarella
3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Crackers, chips or toasted bread, for serving

Steps:

  • Position a rack in the upper third of the oven and preheat to 350 degrees F. Spray a 1-quart baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Put the cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise and garlic in a large bowl. Mix vigorously until combined and smooth. (If you prefer, you can use a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment.) Add the spinach to the cream cheese mixture, breaking it up as you add it. Add the artichokes, mozzarella and 1/2 cup of the Parmesan, mixing to combine. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and top with the remaining 1/4 cup Parmesan.
  • Bake until the dip begins to bubble, 20 to 25 minutes. Turn the oven to broil and continue to cook, keeping an eye on it so it doesn't burn, until the top is golden brown, about 5 minutes. Serve warm with crackers, chips or toasted bread.

Spanakopita Spinach and Artichoke Dip image

A heart and delicious spinach and artichoke dip made with feta, yogurt, mint, and dill. From Nooschi.

Provided by Barbell Bunny

Categories     < 60 Mins

Time 50m

Yield 4 cups of dip, 8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 11

11 ounces Baby Spinach, roughly chopped
1 (398 ml) jar artichoke hearts, roughly chopped
6 scallions, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 lb light feta, crumbled
4 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped
3 tablespoons of fresh mint, finely chopped
5 tablespoons low-fat plain yogurt
1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
extra virgin olive oil
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Pre-heat the oven to 350F/175°C.
  • Make sure the vegetables and herbs are dry before chopping them. This is to avoid the dip being too watery.
  • In a lightly oiled pan, sautee the garlic for about 30 seconds.
  • Add in the spinach, dill, scallions and mint, and sautee for approx 3-5 minutes or until the veggies have wilted.
  • Remove from pan and drain any excess liquid.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the wilted vegetables, crumbled feta, and artichokes. Add in salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
  • Transfer the spinach and artichoke mixture into a baking dish, and bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes.
  • Right before serving, stir in the yogurt and lemon juice. Mix well and serve.
