- In a large bowl, combine cabbage, green pepper and onion. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar and salt. Pour over cabbage mixture and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours. Stir in bacon just before serving.

CABBAGE SALAD (OVERNIGHT) RECIPE

- Place all the vegetables in a large bowl with a tight fitting cover. Combine all the dressing ingredients and mix well using a blender or a whisk. Pour over the vegetables, stirring to combine. Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours before serving. At serving time, stir thoroughly and drain excess dressing. Makes 48 (3/4 cup) servings.
OVERNIGHT CABBAGE SALAD
Best if allowed to sit overnight, otherwise refrigerate a couple of hours at minimum. The grated onion really adds something special.
