EASY EASY EASY. If you like maraschino cherries you can use them, if not remember there are maraschino cherries in your fruit cocktail. Also, a little juice from the maraschino cherries will color your fruit salad a festive red.

1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 ½ cups shredded coconut
½ cup chopped walnuts
1 (8 ounce) can fruit cocktail, drained
1 (8 ounce) can pineapple chunks, drained
1 (11 ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained
3 cups miniature marshmallows
1 (10 ounce) jar maraschino cherries, drained
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the whipped topping, coconut, chopped nuts, fruit cocktail, pineapple, mandarin oranges, marshmallows, cherries, nutmeg and cinnamon. Mix together well and refrigerate for 30 to 45 minutes.

Tossed with a selection of chopped nuts and fresh fruit, this ambrosia salad is a Healthy Living dessert recipe that's sure to thrill the crowd.

1/2 cup mixed nuts, coarsely chopped
2 tsp. dark brown sugar
1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
1 cup fresh orange sections
1 cup strawberry slices
1/2 cup fat free sour cream
1/2 cup JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows

Steps:

  • Cook nut mix in small nonstick skillet on medium heat 2 to 3 min. or just until nuts begin to brown, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Add sugar; toss until sugar is dissolved. Spread into single layer on sheet of wax paper; cool completely.
  • Combine fruit in medium bowl. Stir in sour cream; cover. Refrigerate at least 1 hour.
  • Add marshmallows just before serving; mix lightly. Sprinkle with the glazed nuts.
