APPLESAUCE OATIE COOKIES

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets. In a medium bowl, stir together the quick oats, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg, set aside.
• In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and applesauce. Stir the oatmeal mixture into the batter until well blended then fold in the chocolate chips, raisins and walnuts. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.
• Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 375*F.
• In a medium bowl combine oats, flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
• Mix well with a wire whisk and set aside. In a large bowl combine sugars
• with an electric mixer at medium speed. Add butter and beat to form a grainy paste.
• Add egg and applesauce, and blend until smooth. Add the flour mixture, chocolate chips,
• raisins and walnuts. Blend at low speed just until combined. Drop dough by tablespoons onto lightly greased baking sheets, 2 inches apart.
• Bake 12-14 minutes or until light brown. Immediately transfer cookies.
• with a spatula to a cool flat surface.
