CROCKPOT CHILI RECIPE
This easy Crockpot Chili recipe is delicious, hearty, and perfect for chilly weather! Super easy to make and perfect for loading up with all your favorite toppings!

Steps:
- Brown the ground beef and sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until mostly cooked through. A little pink is fine.
- Add the diced onion, bell pepper, and garlic and stir to combine. Cooking cooking over medium heat until onion is translucent.
- Transfer the beef mixture to a 6 quart crockpot or slow cooker.
- Add the kidney and pinto beans.
- Top with diced tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, beef broth and hot sauce.
- Next add the seasonings (chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne, salt, pepper and sugar). Stir to combine
- Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Serve with desired toppings such as shredded cheese, sour cream, corn chips, tortilla chips, etc.

- 1. You need a large size Crock Pot. Mine is 5 or 6 quarts and was filled to the very top. Brown the ground beef and drain the grease. Add to the Crock Pot. Then brown the ground turkey and add to the Crock Pot.
- 2. Add all remaining ingredients and stir to combine.
- 3. Cook on high for 6 hours.
- 4. Remove lid and stir. Keep the lid off and cook for 1 additional hour on high, stirring occasionally to help thicken it slightly.
- 5. Serve topped with your favorite toppings and enjoy! We like red onion, cheese, and sour cream.

- Cook ground beef and onion, then drain. Meanwhile, mix chili powder and water to make a paste.
- Return beef to skillet and cook with the chili powder mixture 5-10 minutes.
- Liquefy tomatoes in blender or food processor and add to crock pot.
- Add green peppers, salt, sugar, beans, and hot sauce to crock pot; stir. Then add ground beef and stir.
- Cook on high 3 hours or low 5-6 hours until beans are tender.

MOM'S PERFECT CHILI
Smoky tomato flavors lead the way in this comforting classic. This is the perfect chili recipe in my opinion--it's not so fancy that it's intimidating at all, but it's definitely a step above chili packet recipes and chili beans. Serve topped with desired garnishes, such as jalapeno, green or white white onion, cheese, sour cream, cilantro, and hot sauce.

- Heat 1 1/2 teaspoons oil in large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, crumbling with a spoon until evenly browned and cooked through, about 8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Add remaining oil to the pot and return to medium-high heat. Add onion and saute, stirring often, until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add poblano, bell, and jalapeno peppers and garlic; cook, stirring frequently until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, cayenne, and oregano; cook for 1 minute. Add beer and stir, scraping any small brown bits from the bottom of the pot. Add crushed and fire-roasted tomatoes, tomato puree, beef stock, chipotle pepper, and adobo sauce; stir until well combined. Bring to a simmer, stirring often.
- Stir in beef and kidney beans; return to a simmer. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer, stirring occasionally, for at least 3 hours.
