BOW-TIE PASTA SALAD
My aunt and mom created this recipe. It is a family favorite and a great item to bring to picnics and potlucks.

Steps:
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a rolling boil. Cook the bow-tie pasta at a boil until tender yet firm to the bite, about 12 minutes; drain.
- Quickly rinse the cooked pasta in cold water to stop it from continuing to cook; drain.
- Mix the cooled pasta, broccoli, tomatoes, sliced green onions, celery, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper in a large bowl.
- Gently stir the salad dressing, Parmesan cheese, sugar, basil, and salt in a bowl until evenly mixed.
- Pour the salad dressing mixture over the pasta mixture; gently toss to coat evenly.
- Refrigerate 3 hours to overnight before serving.

Steps:
- Prepare bow tie pasta according to package directions; drain.
- In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat.
- Cook chicken, bell peppers, and onions until chicken is no longer pink and vegetables are tender.
- Add, beans, cumin, and chili powder; heat through.
- In a mixing bowl, combine pasta, chicken mixture, tomato sauce, corn, and cheddar cheese.
- In another bowl, combine yogurt and taco sauce.
- Add to salad mixture and toss well.

I made up this recipe while trying to figure out a summer pasta salad to go with our kabobs that we were grilling. I threw in a little of this and a little of that and the family went nuts! To make this healthier, use fat-free mayonnaise and wheat pasta.

- Whisk olive oil, lime juice, cilantro, garlic powder, cumin, ground chile pepper, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper together in a large bowl.
