MEXICAN PIZZA - RETRO PIZZA HUT STYLE
Pizza Hut use to have a great version of this but it was discontinued in the 80's, so I have come up with my own version.

- Remove from oven and finish by topping with lettuce, tomatoes, more Ortega sauce, and black olives. Add sour cream if you need to.
- Slice and enjoy.

QUICK PIZZA MELTS
Pizza toppings are baked inside flaky crescent layers, and then sliced into triangles perfect for dipping in pizza sauce or ranch dressing. Our favorite dip for these melts is ranch dressing with blue cheese crumbles.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 375°F Grease cookie sheet. On cookie sheet, unroll 1 can of dough into 1 large rectangle. With floured rolling pin or fingers, roll or press dough into 12x9-inch rectangle, firmly pressing perforations to seal.
- Spread 1/4 cup pizza sauce over dough to within 1/4 inch of edges. Top with pepperoni and mozzarella cheese.
- On 14-inch length of parchment paper, unroll remaining can of dough. Press to make 12x9-inch rectangle, firmly pressing perforations to seal. While holding paper with dough, turn dough upside down to cover cheese. Remove paper. Brush with beaten egg. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and oregano.
- Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand on cooling rack 5 to 10 minutes. Move to cutting board. Using pizza cutter, cut into 16 squares. Cut each square in half diagonally. Serve with 1 cup pizza sauce.
TWIG'S TACO PIZZA
I miss living where Pizza Hut has a taco pizza. I had a craving and went looking for a recipe. I didn't find one so I whipped this up. It's close to PH but they don't use taco seasoning in their beef.

Steps:
- Prepare your favorite pizza dough and roll it out onto a 14 inch pizza pan. (I use a thick and chewy type dough so your cooking time may vary if you choose a thin crust or a pan crust).
- Brown 1 lb of ground beef with one package of taco seasoning mix. (I don't add the water the mix calls for.) Drain ground beef and set aside to cool.
- Warm up the refried beans in the same pan you used to cook the ground beef just enough to make the beans spreadable.
- Spread the beans on the pizza dough evenly. Top with the ground beef. Sprinkle about 1/3 of the cheese over beef and beans.
- Bake at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes or until dough is golden and the toppings are hot.
- Immediately cut the pizza into slices, leaving the slices in the pan.
- Spread the lettuce over the top, sprinkle with tomatoes, onions, and the rest of the cheese. (I used about 3/4 of a head of lettuce, 3/4 of a tomato, and an entire small onion -- but you could use 1/3 that and still have a hearty pizza.).
- Serve with taco sauce & sour cream if you like.
