HAZELNUT MARBLE BARK

Only three ingredients are needed to make this simple holiday candy! Presented on a cookie tray or packaged as a gift, it's sure to be appreciated.

1 box (6 oz) white chocolate baking bars
6 oz semisweet baking chocolate
3 oz hazelnuts (filberts), toasted,* finely chopped (1/2 cup)

Steps:

  • Line cookie sheet with foil or waxed paper. In medium microwavable bowl, microwave white chocolate on High 1 minute, stirring once halfway through microwaving, until melted. If necessary, continue to microwave on High in 15-second increments, stirring until smooth.
  • In another medium microwavable bowl, microwave semisweet chocolate on High 1 minute, stirring once halfway through microwaving, until melted. If necessary, continue to microwave on High in 15-second increments, stirring until smooth.
  • Stir 1/4 cup of the hazelnuts into each bowl of chocolate. Alternately spoon white mixture and brown mixture in rows, side by side, onto cookie sheet; spread evenly to about 1/4-inch thickness. With knife or small metal spatula, cut through both mixtures to swirl for marbled design. Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour. Break into pieces.

Number Of Ingredients 3

1-1/2 pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate (6 oz.), broken into pieces
1-1/2 pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S White Chocolate (6 oz.), broken into pieces
1 cup chopped pecans, toasted

Steps:

  • Microwave chocolates in separate microwaveable bowls on HIGH 2 min. or until chocolates are almost melted, stirring after 1 min. Stir until chocolates are completely melted.
  • Stir 1/2 cup of the pecans into each bowl. Alternately spoon melted chocolates onto waxed paper-covered baking sheet or tray. Swirl chocolates together with knife for marble effect.
  • Refrigerate 1-1/2 hours or until firm. Break into pieces. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature.

6 slice squares bakers semi sweet baking chocolate
6 slice squares white baking chocolate
1 c crushed peppermint candies

Steps:

  • 1. Microwave semi sweet chocolate and white chocolate in separate medium bowls on high for 2 minutes or til almost melted stirring halfway through heating time. Stir until completely melted. Stir 1/2 the peppermint candies into each bowl. Alternately spoon melted chocolate onto wax paper lined cookie sheet. Swirl chocolate together with knife to marbleize. Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm. Makes about 1 pound.

8 ounces bittersweet chocolate or 8 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped (3 1/2 oz. bar , 2/3 c.)
1 ounce white chocolate baking bar, melted
macadamia nuts, chopped

Steps:

  • Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • In medium saucepan over low heat, melt bittersweet chocolate just until soft.
  • Stir until smooth.
  • Cool 5 minutes.
  • Stir in nuts.
  • Spread mixture on paper-lined cookie sheet to 1/4" thickness.
  • Drizzle with melted whilte chocolate baking bar, swirl with toothpick.
  • Refrigerate until firm.
  • Break into pieces.

6 ounces milk chocolate (or chocolate bark or melting disks) or 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips (or chocolate bark or melting disks)
6 ounces white chocolate chips (or white bark or melting disks)
1 cup salted cashews (pieces, halves or whole)

Steps:

  • Microwave chocolates in separate bowls for 1 minute or until almost melted, stirring halfway through heating time. Stir until completely melted. Stir 1/2 cup of the cashews into each bowl.
  • Note: Microwaves are so different, so be careful when melting chocolates!
  • Alternately spoon melted chocolates onto wax-paper lined cookie sheet. Swirl chocolates together with knife to create marble swirls.
  • Cool in refrigerator for 1 hour or until firm. Break into pieces.

I love to make candy,especially for the holidays.With the leftover marble bark crumbs,I would add them to my chocolate chip cookies,my family loved the cookies so much I began making extra bark candy just to make the cookies. The marble bark candy is great by itself,you might want to make extra!

6 oz white chocolate,melted
6 oz milk chocolate,melted
1 c pecans,chopped and toasted
2 1/4 c all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 c butter,softened
1/2 c shortening or margarine,softened
3/4 c each white sugar and brown sugar,packed
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract

Steps:

  • 1. Make marble bark candy: Place pecans on wax paper lined cookie sheet.Sprinkle white chocolate all over the nuts.Sprinkle milk chocolate over nuts.Let set until chocolates are hardened.Break into small pieces.
  • 2. Preheat oven to 350 deg.Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.Set aside.Cream butter and shortening together,add both sugars and combine well,add vanilla and eggs.Stir dry mixture into creamed mixture,stir well.Add bark,stir to combine.Bake 9-10 mins.Cool 1 min.before removing to a wire rack to cool comletely.

Steps:
