Chocolate Mug Cake is a really simple, really delicious recipe made in the microwave using ingredients you probably already have in your pantry!

1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup dark cocoa powder
2 tablespoons butter (room temperature)
1 teaspoon heavy cream
1 large egg
optional toppings: powdered sugar (vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, strawberries)

Steps:

  • Add all ingredients to a large mug and whisk with a fork until batter forms.
  • Microwave on high for 90 seconds, until toothpick or fork comes out clean.
  • Top as desired and ENJOY!

Here is a quick, incredibly delicious, chocolate mug cake that you can make in under 7 minutes, and it is healthier than all other mug cake recipes I have seen, and we think better! It is perfect for the quick chocolate fix, or the late night sweet tooth indulgence.

Number Of Ingredients 11

3 tablespoons Dutch-processed cocoa powder
2 -3 tablespoons sugar (depending on your liking)
1 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon ground coffee (fine ground is best)
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 large egg white
1 tablespoon Hershey's syrup
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon hot water

Steps:

  • In microwave safe large mug mix dry ingredients.
  • Add wet ingredients, except hot water, and mix well with spoon.
  • Add hot water and stir in until incorporated scrapping bottom of mug with spoon.
  • Cook on high in microwave for 2-3 minutes. 2 minutes 30 seconds is perfect in my microwave. Cake should still look a bit wet / moist, but be cooked through. Best not to overcook.
  • Let cool a few minutes and enjoy. Add you favorite topping if you like.

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 -1 1/2 cup coffee, mug

Steps:

  • Add dry ingredients to mug and mix well.
  • Add egg and mix well.
  • Pour in milk, oil, and mix well.
  • Add chocolate chips and vanilla and mix again.
  • Put mug in microwave for 3 minutes on 1000 watts.
  • The cake will rise over the top of mug, dont be alarmed.
  • Allow to cool a bit and tip it out of the mug or grab a spoon.

This is the easiest, yet most impressive dessert I have come across. It is so beautiful by the end that you almost don't want to cut it...until you taste a slice! I substituted Semi-Sweet chocolate for the Bittersweet, and it tasted just as good. Also, I had to bake this an extra 5 or 10 minutes.

6 ounces baker's bittersweet baking chocolate
3/4 cup butter
4 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup fresh berries (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwavable bowl on HIGH 2 minutes or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted; cool to room temperature.
  • Beat eggs and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until thickened. Add chocolate mixture; stir with wire whisk until well blended.
  • Add four; stir until well blended. Pour into greased and floured 9-inch round cake pan.
  • Bake 30 minutes or until center is set. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan. Cool completely on wire rack.
  • To garnish, arrange some fresh berries in the center of the cake and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
