Connect the Batteries to One Another. Start by putting two 9-volt batteries beside one another with the smaller circular terminal or the positive side on the left side for both batteries.
Attach the Alligator Grips to the Batteries. Next, grab your two pairs of alligator grips. Connect one alligator grip from each pair to the free poles of your batteries.
Dip the Silver Wire in the Water and Add Saline. Now, attach a piece of silver wire to each of the free alligator grips. Check to see that the alligator grips are clamped tightly on the silver wires.
