THE BEST DRY RUB STEAK RECIPE
The best dry steak rub that is loaded with flavor, juicy, and tasty. This is a copycat Longhorn Steak Recipe, that gives you that restaurant-quality steak.

- In a bowl, you will want to put your salt, brown sugar, corn starch, garlic salt, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, and pepper.
- Stir the steak rub around and then add the seasoning to all sides of your steaks. You will want to apply it liberally.
- Then place seasoned steaks in aluminum foil and cover and place in the fridge for up to 4 hours.
- To cook steaks you will turn your pellet grill on and heat to 500 degrees.
- Then place your steaks on the hot grill and cook 4-8 minutes per side depending on the doneness of your steak.
- The cook time will vary depending on the thickness of your steaks. So use your best judgment.
- This copycat Longhorn Steak rub is so easy, and a very savory rub to use on all your cuts of steak.

LONGHORN'S PRAIRIE DUST
I went to Longhorn's restaurant recently and had their pork chops sprinkled with prairie dust. It was delicious! After searching, I found this one by Shelby Miller Jones on Taste Book and am putting it here so that I can try it soon. LONGHORN STEAKHOUSE STYLE STEAKS

- Take the steaks out of the fridge, and allow to come to room temperature.
- Heat a large nonstick skillet (you can even use a cast iron skillet) on high heat until very hot.
- Rub both sides of the steaks lightly with the lawry's seasoning.
- Add 1/2 the butter and 1/2 the lemon juice to the hot skillet, next add one steak in the center of the skillet.
- Cook 2-4 minutes on each side (depending on the thickness and how you like your steak done) with a lid on, and make sure the kitchen is well ventilated because this could get smoky. Do not poke holes in steak to test for doneness, as this will dry the meat out.
- Once steak is cooked, repeat with other steak, and let both steaks sit for 2-3 minutes to allow juices to distribute throughout.
- When ready to serve, you can add additional butter, lemon juice and seasoning to your liking.

- Set the grill to medium heat.
- In a small bowl, mix the lemon juice with the melted butter or margarine until properly combined.
- In a medium-sized bowl, mix the salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, turmeric and ground coriander until well combined.
- Generously season both sides of the steak fillets with the dry mixture.
- Brush the lemon-butter mixture over both sides of the steaks as well before grilling.
- Sear both sides of the seasoned steak for 5 minutes each. Cook until medium rare.
