I just made this up out of the blue and everyone including the kids loved it. The meat fell apart and was delicious.

1 ½ pounds London broil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
½ cup water
½ teaspoon dried basil
½ teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Place the London broil in a slow cooker; add the garlic, mushroom soup, water, basil, oregano, and salt; cover; cook on low 6 to 7 hours.

This recipe came from the desire to make a pot roast, but all I had on hand was a London broil. I made this on the fly, and it turned out great. My wife took the leftovers to work and everyone wanted the recipe. I hope you all like it.

2 tablespoons vegetable oil, or as needed
1 (2.5 pound) London broil, cut into thirds
1 teaspoon Creole seasoning, or to taste
2 cups beef broth
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
½ cup red wine
1 onion, sliced
1 (16 ounce) package baby carrots
3 potatoes, quartered, or more to taste

Steps:

  • Scatter sliced onion in the bottom of a slow cooker, then alternately layer carrots and potatoes.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat and season London broil with Creole seasoning. Sear beef in hot oil until well browned, 3 to 5 minutes per side. Transfer meat the slow cooker.
  • Pour beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, and red wine into the skillet used to cook the beef and bring to a simmer. Scrape any brown bits from the bottom of the skillet with a spatula. Pour broth mixture over beef.
  • Cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours or cook on High for 6 hours.

The steak is cooked with condensed tomato soup mixed with cream of mushroom soup. Dry onion soup mix is sprinkled over the top. Easy by any standard.

2 pounds flank steak
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix

Steps:

  • Place meat in the bottom of the slow cooker; if necessary, slice meat to make it fit!
  • In a medium bowl, mix together mushroom and tomato soup. Pour mixture over beef. Sprinkle dry onion soup mix over top.
  • Cover, and cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours.

  • Optional Searing: Place a cast iron skillet over high heat and let it heat up for 5 minutes until very hot. Add the oil and the beef. Let is sear undisturbed for 2 minutes to brown. Then flip and repeat for the other sides.
  • Place the London broil in the crock pot along with the broth, thyme, garlic, salt, pepper and butter. Then cover and seal the lid.
  • Cook on Low for 6-7 hours or alternatively on High for 3-4 hours. Add optional potatoes and carrots for the final hour, and green beans for the last 30 minutes.
  • Remove the roast to a carving board and slice against the grain. Serve with juices from the crock pot.
