LAVA FLOWS - PINA COLADAS WITH RIVERS OF STRAWBERRY
These can be made as mocktails for the kids or cocktails for big kids. The recipe calls for defrosted frozen sliced strawberries. When you bring them home from the market, place them on a dish in the refrigerator so they will be soft and ready to process. The dish will catch any leaks or moisture from defrosting.

Steps:
- Blend strawberries in a blender on high until smooth. Place 1/2 cup strawberry puree in the bottom of 4 hurricane or double rocks cocktail glasses. Rinse blender and return to motor base. Place remaining ingredients in blender and blend on high until smooth. Pour pina coladas into glasses on top of the strawberry puree. The puree will run up through the pina colada, making a lava flow effect.
LAVA FLOW
This drink is a favorite in Hawaii. The old folks love the normal drink and the kids all love the virgin version. Everyone is completely addicted, it's wild!

Steps:
- 1. Aproximate Ingredients: 46 oz pineapple juice 40 oz coco lopez 1 pint half and half ice frozen strawberries in syrup 2 tablespoons water
- 2. It's really easy but my measurements aren't exact. It's one part pineapple juice to one part coco lopez (cream of cocnut, it's in a can.) Usually it takes about three cans of coco lopez to one big can of pineapple juice. Then you add half and half until it turns white. So I'd say about 1 pint of half and half. In a separate bowl puree strawberries, sugar and water. Or you can puree frozen strawberries in syrup with a little water that seems to work a little better. You want it to be somewhat thick, almost like a syrup texture. Pour strawberries in the cup about an half an inch to an inch high. Put ice in your blender and pour the coconut mix in unitl it's at an even height with the ice. Blend, then pour in the cup with strawberry mix. The strawberries should come up the sides of the cup. If it doesn't, either thin out your strawberries a little bit, or before pouring the coconut take the cup and swish the strawberries around so they stick on the sides of the cup.
LAVA FLOW
A fun authentic Hawaiian drink that tastes REALLY good. As you pour in the second mixture, the first will slowly creep up the sides of the glass like lava.

- In a blender, puree the slightly thawed strawberries with 1/2 cup water. The mixture should be syrupy and thick. Transfer to a liquid measure, bowl or pitcher and set aside.
- In a blender (washed from pureeing the strawberries), fill up halfway with ice. Pour in the coconut/pineapple mixture until it comes up to an even height with the ice. Blend until slushy (add more coconut/pineapple mixture if it is too thick to blend easily).
- Pour about an inch of the strawberry syrup mixture into a cup. Pour the icy coconut/pineapple mixture into the center of the strawberry mixture in the cup until the cup is filled. If desired, gently swirl the mixture with a straw.
