Here's a fantastic way to deliver all that blazing jalapeno popper taste without the work. Whenever I bring this jalapeno popper dip recipe to a party, I'm always asked for the recipe. Serve with corn chips, tortilla chips or butter crackers. -Jennifer Wilke, Collinsville, Illinois

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 can (4 ounces) chopped green chiles
1 can (4 ounces) diced jalapeno peppers
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese, divided
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 tablespoon olive oil
Sliced green onions, optional
Corn chips, tortilla chips or assorted crackers

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, mayonnaise, cheddar, chiles, peppers and 1/4 cup Parmesan until blended. Spoon into an ungreased 1-1/2-qt. baking dish., In a small bowl, combine the bread crumbs, oil and remaining Parmesan. Sprinkle over cheese mixture. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 20-25 min. or until golden brown. Sprinkle with green onions, if desired. Serve with chips or crackers.

1 teaspoon chicken base
1/4 cup cream or 1/4 cup milk
1 -2 tablespoon finely chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped ripe olives
1 -2 tablespoon chopped jalapeno (or to taste)

Steps:

  • Mix cream cheese, chicken base and cream till smooth.
  • Add onion, olives and jalapenos.
  • Best when flavors have had time to mingle.

1 c green olives, stuffed
1/2 c jalapenos, pickled
12 oz cream cheese
1/4 c blue cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Chop olives and jalapenos in a mini chopper or blender.
  • 2. Place cream cheese in a mixing bowl. It's easy to mix if softened. Add Blue Cheese and chopped Olives and Jalapenos.
  • 3. Serve with pretzels, crackers or celery.

CHEEZY GREEN OLIVE DIP

A dip/spread with a bit of a bite, thanks to the green olives. If you're an olive fan, add even more. Prep time includes lots of chilling time.

1 (4 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup cheese spread (like Cheez Whiz)
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
8 pimento stuffed olives, chopped

Steps:

  • Combine cheeses, Worcestershire sauce and garlic salt in a small bowl; beat until smooth.
  • You could also do this in a food processor.
  • Stir in the chopped olives; pulse in lightly if using food processor.
  • Pack into a small serving bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to let flavours blend.
  • Garnish with additional sliced green olives if you wish and serve with an assortment of crackers and raw veggies.

JALAPEñO POPPER DIP

Taking a cue from the creamy, spicy flavors of jalapeño poppers, this dip is sinfully good and blissfully easy. Just mix a few of the roasted chiles with room-temperature cream cheese, cheddar cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, and drained jarred pimientos, then slide it all into the oven until the casserole dish bubbles.

4 jalapeños (5 ounces)
8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded mild cheddar (4 ounces)
1 jar (4 ounces) pimientos, drained
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt (we use Diamond Crystal)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
Sweet-potato chips and crudités, such as carrots, celery sticks, blanched cauliflower florets, and cucumber spears

Steps:

  • Preheat broiler with rack 6 inches from heating element. Place jalapeños on a rimmed baking sheet. Broil, flipping once, until charred all over, 6 to 8 minutes. Transfer to a bowl, cover, and let stand 10 minutes.
  • Remove and discard skins, stems, and seeds from chiles; transfer to a food processor with cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar, pimientos, salt, and garlic powder. Purée until smooth; pour into a 1-quart ovenproof baking dish.
  • Switch oven to 375°F. Combine panko, parsley, and oil; sprinkle over dip. Bake until golden and warmed through, 15 to 20 minutes. Serve immediately with chips and crudités.

1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream
2 cups canned black olives, drained and chopped
1 1/2 cups green onions, finely chopped
1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Mix mayonnaise and sour cream in medium bowl to blend.
  • Add olives, onions, cilantro, lime juice, garlic and 1/4 tsp hot pepper sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Taste, adding more hop pepper sauce if desired.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until well chilled, at least 1 and up to 8 hours.
  • Serve dip with tortilla chips.

2 tablespoons salted baby capers, rinsed and drained
2 garlic cloves, roughtly chopped
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
185 g tuna in vegetable oil (do not drain)
2 tablespoons chopped flat leaf parsley
extra virgin olive oil
toasted crostini or sliced baguette, to serve

Steps:

  • Place the first 6 ingredients in a food processor and process until smoothe, adding a little EVOO if necessary.
  • Season to taste with freshly ground black pepper and serve with the toasted crostini or baguette.
