Honey is a soothing remedy for persistent coughs and sore throat. The strong antibiotic properties it contains coats the throat and reduces throat irritation. Uneasiness felt in the mouth & throat due to infection can be relieved immediately with honey. Honey's unique composition makes it an effective antimicrobial agent, useful for treating minor burns and scrapes, and for aiding the treatment of sore throats and other bacterial infections.

Ingredients

6 fluid ounces liquid honey
2 ounces glycerin
2 lemons, juice of
1 tablespoon honey
1 quart hot water
1 teaspoon honey

Steps:

For cough-- Mix honey, glycerin and lemon juice.
Bottle and cork firmly.
Use as needed.
For Blocked noses-- Place honey in a basin of hot water and inhale fumes after covering your head with a towel over the basin.
For Sore throats-- Let 1 teaspoon of honey melt in the back of the mouth and trickle down the throat.
This will ease inflamed raw tissues.

juice of 1/2 to 1 lemon-at least one tablespoon
a good squirt of honey-to taste, but at least 1 teaspoon
pinch of cayenne pepper-no more than 1/8t.

Steps:

1. Stir together and drink. It will burn a bit for just a moment, but then you feel instant relief from the sore throat! You'll know when it's time to repeat the dosage-usually 2-4hrs. because your throat will start to hurt again!
